Camaro5 Fest IV: Updates! [6/27/13]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We're happy to announce some final updates to our website and programming for August 1-3!! :clap2:

Firstly,

We'd like to bring your attention to the CamaroCross page on the Camaro5fest.net website. It is located within the "Fest Events" section of the website.

http://www.camaro5fest.net/camarocross/

If you intend on competing in the CamaroCross, please read all information located on this page carefully.

There is also a registration hyperlink on this page. ALL CAMAROCROSS PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED. This is most easily accomplished by using this feature of our website. CamaroCross is accessed by purchasing a driver's pass at the gate. Pre-registering does not require any payment.

Space is limited; first-come, first-served.

Any questions about registering for the CamaroCross, feel free to direct them to a moderator on Camaro5.com, or to info.camaro5fest@gmail.com.

Secondly,

We've updated the General Info section of the website to display the cost of the event. We're pleased to say that entry for the Camaro5 Fest IV will stay the same as all the years before:

Spectators: $20/ 2 day pass
Drivers: $100/ 2 day pass.

Thirdly,

There's new information on the Drag Racing rules and procedures. You can find those details (such as helmet requirements, competitive classes, etc) by clicking on "Drag Racing" here:

Next Updates?: Stay tuned for next week's update, including special attractions courtesy of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, Rodger's Chevrolet, and Chevrolet themselves!

We are VERY excited about this year's show!! :D

• Classes: Stock V-6, Stock V-8, Modified V-8, Supercar, Shop Car
o Stock V-6
o Stock V-8: CAI, and Catback allowed. (no headers or tunes)
o Modified V-8: Vehicles with tunes, moderate engine mods, suspension upgrades. Includes OE 1LE
o Supercar: You are automatically in this class with built motors, supercharger and or tires with a treadwear rating of 200 or less. Includes ZL1.
o Shop Car: Any non-street licensed or shop sponsored car
What is considered a "built motor" Would a cammed car be considered "built motor" or "moderate engine mods"?

I kind of take "moderate engine mods" as bolt on cars

while "built motor" would be any internal mods

I tend to agree with you that "built" = internal mods

What's the deal with driving your own car? Last year it was a sticking point.

And will they actually enforce tech? Plenty of fast cars running without cages last year.

Has anyone noticed that the video doesn't play all the way through on you tube?

That's how it was last year. It was called unlimited. I think there was only maybe 50 cars. I think the fast 16 cutoff was 11.3

It was I ran with my street tires against real race cars never made the bump

So what about modified V6's? What about bracket racing? How "stock" does a "stock" V6 have to be??????????????? I will be VERY, VERY sad if Ruby can't race! And I want to see some of the supermodified V6's race too.
