Recommend a car . Help me Decide
Hey gang. I am in the market for a new or certified sporty or muscle car, no trucks or SUVs or minivans. I don't want to spend more than $55k.
I looked at a 2011 Shelby GT500 (red with white stripes with SVT package) MSRP at just a tad over $55k and I like it. The back end still doesn't sit well with me but everything else I like, especially the big hulking aluminum truck engine topped with a supercharger under the hood!
I am also considering a certified BMW M3 4-door, a used 2007+ Z06, Supercharged Roush Mustang, or order the new Boss 302..anyway, here is my list
2011 Shelby GT500
2011 Roush Stage 3
Used BMW M3
Used Z06
2012 Boss 302
2010 Challenger SRT8 *orange (found a dealer that has one brand new)
anything else I should consider? Thanks guys and gals.
UPDATE 1/28/2011
After driving many cars last weekend and this week. I have decided to buy a 2011 Shelby GT500 in Race Red, with SVT Performance Package and Electronic Package. I have owned many many cars and never a Mustang. Every time I was set to buy one, I ended up buying something else. Well, this time, after test driving a 2010 and sitting in a 2011 and reading all the uprades over the 2010, most notably the 550hp aluminum block and no gas guzzler tax.........well, I am snake bitten once again. My local Ford dealer located this car for me in LA and traded their blue 2011 to the other dealer for it and put it on a flat bed and delivered yesterday in the showroom. They put a SOLD sign on it for me. I checked it over last night and man, do I still have the perma-grin! I love the interior! I will take more pics when I get it home tomorrow. I plan on leaving this stock...can no longer afford to void a warranty. Gets too expensive to fix powertrain parts when they break. I almost bought a cpo'd Z06 but wife convinced me get the Shelby to get the Mustang outta my system already.
Anyway, I am paying $1k over invoice which is an excellent deal IMHO. Other dealers in SoCal still have a mark up and most won't deal less than MSRP. For you SoCal guys, GALPIN FORD still wants $10k over MSRP! Greedy bastids.
