IBM W/ CGM HOODSTRIPES
 

i know there are a few people wanting to see the IBM with CGM hood stripes on it. I am one of those people. I spoke with a board member who should hopefully have some pictures soon. I also have a buddy who is going to try to photo shop the colors together for me and I will get the picture posted as soon as he has it available. He apparently is having issues with the program that he uses.

I dropped by a dealership yesterday. They had a CGM 2SS on the floor that the customer (who has already taken delivery) allowed the dealership to show off the car for a week while the customer went on vacation. The CGM is a gorgeous second choice ;). The CGM camaro was parked next to a IBM Truck. although it was parked inside, I could tell the combo is going to be amazing. I opened the truck door to get it as close to the cgm camaro to see the contrast (trust me, it wasnt close enough to ding the sistine chapel of modern car design), and if I had the money and credit cards paid off, I would have dropped everything an ordered right then and there. The combo is rediculously gorgous. cant wait for some actual pics

Man, I am really leaning towards IBM/Gray, 2 SS/RS with polished wheels. However, does anyone have pics of IBM with either/or : Painted ground effects, or white hockey strips (gm or otherwise).

When I was very young, my Dad had a 1969 SS/RS 396 with the L78/M22 combo. Better yet, it was from Nickey (I have a picture showing the back 3/4 view and you can see the Nickey Chevrolet dealer sticker). It was dark blue with a cowl hood and white SS stripes. He bought it in 1970, so there will be kind of a full circle thing going on when I buy my SS/RS in 2010 :)

Anyways, sorry to thread-jack, beautiful cars, beautiful color. I finally got to drive a 2SS/RS today, LS3 car, and even though I won't be buying it, the taste of getting to drive that mo-fo left me real impressed.

My uncle had a blue Imperial. It was as big as a boat but it wouldn't float. :moon:

I ordered IBM 2SS/RS with Grey Intreior, I need to make up my mind because the order is going to be pulled thursday. My friend and I went to the dealership today to check out a RS with Grey , It's darker than I thought. My buddy says go with black because it will look better longer and hide dirt more than the grey will,:iono: Anybody that has the Grey or black interior I'd be greatful for your insite/opinion, The two tone looks :thumbsup: but just can't make up my mind:help:

With the Imperial Blue you've chosen, I would only go with Beige interior as it really make this vehicle "POP" ! I'm not a real fan of MONO interiors so for me, it has to be 2-toned and that leaves you with only 2 choices: A. ) Beige or B.) Grey. Grey carpet I can see getting real dirty over the years!

I got my white hood and hockey stripes yesterday. I posted pics in another thread, but I'll put them here, too. Ground effects go on next month. Once the title clears, I'll switch out the plates to blue vanity plates to better match the car. She's a little dirty, but I can't wash her until next month because of the stripes and clear bra.
