Dear Valued Customer,
You requested a price quotation for: Vortech Supercharger Kit with Aftercooler for 1994-1997 GM Camaro/Trans Am LT1 (V-1 S-Trim, satin) [more info] Part Number: V4GH218-090S SuperchargersOnline.com*: $5,249.00 List Price: $6075.95 You Save: $826.95 |
Those are pretty good SCs but they require tapping a fitting into the oil pan for an oil line for the supercharger. I can't view the page, but remember reading articles from back in the day on these cars and on stock to mildly modified LT1s, they get up to about 400 RWHP, maybe a little less. I'd just make sure you have a healthy engine. LT1 pistons (to my understanding) weren't too tollerable to detonation so make sure your fuel and ignition systems are up to snuff. Make sure that water pump and Opti-junk are in order too. I'd consider their aftercooler too. It adds power and helps keep the intake temps' lower too.

LT1's run a high compression ratio from the start. They don't like too much boost, I personally wouldn't go over 6 PSI with a kit. I know Powerdyne makes one at 4.5 PSI just to keep it on the safe side.
