my 2011, Sweet Chantilly Lace.....

Been having fun with Chantilly, she now has 340 miles on the clock, when I got her, she only had 3 miles. She had all the dealer papers and tape all over, my son cleaned Chantilly, and took some images of her.... I love her but she is painfully slow....

I live at a high altitude which hurts, the car in stock form though lacks power, as pretty as Chantilly is, she needs power to match...

i never really noticed how hawt RJT could be until these pics. very nicely done! i (PERSONALLY) like the no stripe look on this colour...

you know after owning a camaro for a while (not that long) and being on the forums for over a year and looking at all these pics - you'd think i'd be de-sensitized by the look of this car, but can't say that i am. amazing!

I guess I still don't get it. High altitude hurts the power? I know baseball players can rope a ball out the park in the thin air... Id think the car would behave similar to the ball. 426hp SS isn't enough power for ya???? I guess you must be a real guru and need a super charger etc. Painfully slow though? Come on.:chevy:

Nice RJT! :w00t:

How about some pics of your Goat also?

Engines are air pumps. High altitude means less air density. Less air density means less power.

Nice!

It feels like you lost 100hp when you go from low altitude to the mountains.
I think they feel painfully slow at low altitude coming from a blown c6.

about 650whp should make it right.

Love the color!

It's very simple. The engine requires air molecules to mix with fuel vapor for combustion. The closer you get to sea level, the greater density of air molecules there are. More air = more combustion = more power.

As you increase altitude, the number of air molecules decreases rapidly, thus reducing the amount of power your engine will make. Your air fuel mixture will essentially become lopsided.
