Hood Louvering.
Anyone know a place that louvers hoods in the L.A. area?

You would probrably be better off buying a carbon fiber hood and painting it.
the hoods on these cars are aluminum, i would imaging if someone were to start cutting holes into it the hood may start to develop creases or sunken areas. |
You can go with the ZL1 hood, otherwise LG just came out with a hood; ZR28

Not LA, but in Ontario, Arts n Letters Signs still has a louver press...dude was Rainbow Louver Company back in the 80's...909-984-8881 ask for Tim. |

Your talking about old school louvering right? I haven't seen that done in years but could be cool. Or just 5 or 6 bigger louvers on each side of the hood. Cant wait to see what you both come up with. |

Does that hood include a reach around at least? |

I have stripes on my hood that I don't want to lose and I think they would look too butchered if put over those slots. I'm trying to figure out a way to either louver the sides or put inserts in the stripes. I kind of like these, even though [gasp] there for a Ford: http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/1...odinserts2.jpg Or something like the ones on this hood, maybe 1 or 2 longer: http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/6...zetbqegiog.jpg And no, not a fan of the Seibon hoods... |

Have you looked into Hines Performance Hex Vents.
They are the vents in the center of my hood. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...2/DSC02132.jpg |
