2013 Convertibles are NOT Immune from Top Issues!!!
After waiting all winter to take my new convertible out, the first time that I tried I lower the top, I heard a loud pop and the right side of the top moved but the drivers side didn't and the top wouldn't go down. The dealer stated that they have had zero problems with the 13s. Fortunately it was a quick fix -- the drivers side strut had disconnected. The service manager said that there was a clip installed correctly from the manufacturer.

sounds like the problem is minor compared to what some of us with earlier builds have been through...such as broken 5th bows, floods in the backseat due to water management bag failure etc., but you would think that GM and the dealers would be triple checking the roofs by now knowing that issues have existed in the past.

Yes, I agree it was minor. However, the loud pop scared me. I was positive that the 5th bow broke. I was very impressed with my dealership's response. They took it right back, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it immediately. Still, I only have 900 miles on my car and already had the faceplate on the MyLink system replaced and now the top issue. Not a great track record so far.

Lets hope your luck will improve.

Thanks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
