Camaro V6

RX Performance Catch Can w/ Dual Check Valve: $299

RX Performance Catch Can w/ Single Check Valve: $199

RX Performance Breather Oil Fill Cap: $39

The RX can is the only unit available that has integrated positive closing poly check valves & self regulates the amount of flow eliminating oil pull-through during deceleration from WOT runs.

The cans are nearly 1 qt capacity, have a unique disc baffling system and perforated dispersion tube to ensure the vapors not only cool quickly to droplets, but the large separation chamber allows the flow to slow enough for the droplets to fall out of suspension trapping it before the vapors travel a final passes through a separate exit chamber and out the integrated check valve.

The dual valve unit is the ONLY one on the market that ensures continuous crankcase evacuation no matter what the operating mode. In boost or not, the dual valve unit detects the moment the intake manifold becomes pressurized closes preventing the boost from pressurizing the crankcase, and opens the valve allowing the FI head unit inlet to provide the vacuum needed for continuous evacuation.

-Remote drain tube makes emptying simple & mess free.

-Optional breather oil fill cap with built in one way check valve.

-Available in most popular GM colors or polished aluminum.

Without getting into a "wall of text" explanation, it basically helps the catch can do it's job more effectively. For a lightly modified street car it isn't 100% necessary but it doesn't hurt either. When you start getting into heavily modified cars, especially FI, it is definitely something you want.

Chase is right, the breather is a must have when going FI or when going the Cam route. Good also if the motor is going to be ran at a constant high levels even when stock. But a great buy regardless, what it does is relieve crank pressure. So the bottom end won't blow open. Also may cause the dipstick to rattle or even shoot out of the tube if the pressure isn't released.

That would be for an A&A Supercharger Kit for the C5 or C6 Corvettes.. We have specific brackets for some of the supercharger kits..

Here's a bump for Apex, great vendor to deal with !!!

So which catch can is preferred if you aren't FI and don't plan on it anytime soon? Single valve or dual?

Matt @ RX 09-25-2012 12:40 PM

usafboy: Just order up a Single Valve through Chase :)

Thanks Matt.

Just ordered one. Opted out of the braided hose though... $75 for a pretty hose that'll rarely be seen seemed a bit silly.

Hurry with shipping it, though! I'd rather get preventative maintenance on my car sooner rather than later! :D

Apex Motorsports 10-21-2012 08:15 AM

Thank you for your order. We will get it to you as soon as possible.

The nice hoses are more then look. They are stronger and better made then the norm. But a catch can is a start and how are you not popping that hood more then to show it off.
Rx catch can too if my list and I'm lucky ill make the drive down(45 min) to the guys at rx and have them take care of all my catch can needs. And more.
