First mod to your new Z/28
So what are some of the mods you guys are going to be purchasing a Z/28 thinking of doing
|
Not thinking of purchasing anything, but I might remove the bow tie on the rear.
|
STAGE ONE:
• Roll-bar or roll-cage • Harness bar & harnesses • Extra set of wheels/tires for street use • Remove rear seat and install "parcel shelf" for hauling gear to track STAGE TWO: [if I drive it and decide "I gotta fever and the only prescription is... more cowbell!!"] • Katech engine mods • Pfadt suspension mod |

I know the last thing I would touch is the suspension and brakes. As much noise that has been made over these parts in the car, there better not be a better suspension or braking system on the planet.;)
|
I would lean towards new heads. I don't want to drop a valve on my new $75k car.
|
Speakers.

It's good to see someone planning to use the car the way it was intended. If I were getting a Z/28, I'd keep it simple: 4 point roll bar 6 point harness (always with a HANS type device, I use a Necksgen) Extra set of wheels for track tires If the Recaros don't work well with a 6 point harness, I'd put in a pair of 1 piece racing seats. Sparco Evos are being installed in my 1LE this week. |

I sold my C6 Z06 because of this issue being a possibility. |
