Anybody looking to buy off the lot?

If anybody is interested, Battlefield Chevy in Culpeper Va has a red SS and a blue SS, both manuals on the lot unspoken for. I bought mine there, my salesman Ronnie Harper was terrific. Please ask for Ronnie if you are interested. If you need any more information please ask and I'll do my best to answer. These cars are AWESOME!!!!

They wish for 5K over MSRP too! The ABM isn't even an RS????

Kudos to Battlefield. They are a class act and took great care of me with MSRP and all available discounts. Donald is the man.

That said, Radley Chev in Fredericksburg has 3 on the showroom floor. 36k for 2SS, 33k for 1SS, and ?? for Yellow Transformer. Not bad pricing considering the temptation for other dealerships to jack the prices.

You waived the 60 day gaurantee....

https://www.exclusivegmoffer.com/ip-...do?program=cud

Use that and get supplier pricing too - IF your dealer is nice enough to honor it ;)

Some people have more money then sense, like you! Go talk to the 07 Shelby guys who paid over sticker. A lot of them are regretting it. The Camaro SS is not some kind of limited addition car. Hell I paid $1k over invoice for my 2010 GT500.

No wonder only 100 people have taken that offer nationwide. If you have to pay full MSRP for the car who would unless they planned on making it at 60 day rental. I thought about doing that with a Camaro.

I have a hard time thinking someone would pay 5000.00 over sticker, when the msrp is in the window. WHY?

Yep, MSRP is the Suggested Retail Price, which is the starting point of negotiations. I negotiate down from that, not up.....

CamaroScotty 10-16-2009 10:54 AM

OK, if someone wants to buy a Camaro from me for $5000 over sitcker - I can do that. We'll just donate that $5000 to Ducks Unlimited in your name.

I don't want to lose a customer over no additional dealer mark up!!!!

promod55 10-16-2009 11:39 AM

Some have it some never will.I'm fortunate to have it.But i donate mine to cancer research.

+1. My thoughts exactly. Anyone who pay's $5k extra for a car that will be MSRP in 6 months is a plain out idiot & is the fool that the dealer was looking for even if they do have all of the money in the world.

So let me get this straight. If you pay 1000.00 over for a rustang thats ok!

promod55 10-16-2009 04:21 PM

Over invoice, I believe, not over MSRP.

meanride 10-16-2009 05:59 PM

just a question? why are so many mustang owners on the camaro5 forums ?

StangKiller-SS 10-16-2009 06:03 PM

First let me say that I can understand why you payed $5k over, because you wanted the car then and there & you didn't want to search or wait a little bit to find a dealer who's not bending the customer over and you didn't care about throwing away $5k of your earned money because you wanted that car bad enough and you had the money to do it.

To pay $1k over MSRP for a standard Mustang GT that others are selling for regular price? That's stupid, to pay $1k more when it's the Shelby GT500 which is with respect to a car that is special and will always stand out from the rest & one day hold a collectors value when most dealers are marking them up $5k or $10k maybe not so crazy. A Camaro SS fit's into the Mustang GT rank not GT500. A 5th gen Z28/ZL1 that was built either by a company like SLP or GM fit's into that rank with the GT500 but not the SS.

Because:

1. Not everyone who drives a Mustang is a Ford nutswinger.
2. Some of us are actually looking to purchase a Camaro as a daily driver once the initial furor or "gotta have it" effect is over and the supply out paces the demand.
3. Camaro 5 is a great forum with members who offer great technical value and are able to co-exist with members who drive a car manufactured by someone other than GM.
