forged internals

Who would you guys say makes the best forged internals?

I dont think I could narrow it down to a single one company. Callies, Mahle, Eagle, there's a bunch of companies that make excellent products.

Add Lunati to the list.

I agree, there are soooo many that make quality products that I would trust at HP levels way over we plan on making. All of the aforementioned companies make great products.

I have used eagle products in a couple of engine builds, one at 750HP, and one at 1300 running a high psi supercharger setup. And it never had an issue....My heads did, but never the internals.

It is going to vary on the type of application, or the intended use.

Certain companys make great forged value componets, some just make out right expensive internals but they are far superior.

What are you planning on forging the motor for? Spray, Blower, High comp NA? This would help give you some pros and cons.

Regards

Callies Compstar products imo are the best bang for your buck, but I've used Eagle products up to 1500 hp levels without any problems. Lunati is overpriced and nothing any better than the rest of them.

For the most extreme use we have had the best luck with:
Crank - Callies Magnum 4340
Rods - Oliver Billet
Pistons - JE Forged with 180 Tool Steel Pins
