How to run wires into the door
 

This is a short how to showing how I ran wires through the rubber boot that connects the door to the A pillar post. If anyone has tried, you know it's very difficult to snake a wire through there. I needed to run a wire for my Showstopper side mirrors. I used a short piece of brass tubing I got from a local model hobby shop. I ran the brass tubing through the boot and when I got to the A pillar end, I made a small cut in the boot. This part of the boot will be inside the car when everything is reassembled. Also, after the wire was run, I sealed over the cut with a little black RTV. Once the brass tubing was in place, it was an easy matter to run the wire through the inside of the tubing. Once the wire is run, just pull the tubing out. It doesn't stay in there, it's just to get the wire through. As far as the connector goes, there is an unused part of the terminal block with no pin that I ran the wire through on the passenger side. The driver's side has a wire that I removed since it doesn't go to anything. The wire I removed was on the door side of the connector with no terminal on the A pillar connector side. Hope this helps some of you out there.

Great Post, ill be running wire from my projection door lights real soon. But one Question, i see you were running a yellow wire thru, and in the last pic (if thats the same wire) i see it running thru the connector? is it just rerouted through the back of that connector (square). Not sure what im seeing as far as the wire you ran thru. And if thats your yellow wire running thru the connector , how does it reconnect with that wire in the way? Sorry if im confucsing you lol. :facepalm:

I had no problem snaking wire, and I drilled holes above the weather pack connector. Tight fits, but working well for 8 months.

Don't get me wrong, this is great it got me started but missed a bunch of info and it took a while to figure the rest out so I'm so going to make some add-ons here to see if it helps people.

Poke a metal hanger through the boot till it comes out the other end, you can cut a slit in the other end after the round part you pull out, it's on the inside of the car.

When the hanger pokes through make sure it's rounded like this so you can put your speaker wire or just wire in the loop, put enough through so it can pull back through and not un wrap

Make sure it looks like this so it's ready to pull through the boot!

I know you're not supposed to, but I drilled a hole here so I ca pull the wire through, RTV it up when you're done with it!

This is the part that's connected to the door, I F'ed around with it for an hour thinking there must be a way to get it through! Well there is, the orange part, put something pointy under there and lift it up like a level it pulls up so you can push the pin in the front and the back of the part in and pull it off the door and through the speaker hole.

I drilled a hole in the upper middle part of this, I though it through and it's the easiest way to do it, but if you ever want to take it off most likely you'll have to pull the speaker wire out because it won't life up all the way, only if you want to take it off the door..

Basically same process on the other side, you can see the boot will inverse itself if you pull on it, Stick one part of the metal hanger through the door from the outside to go on the inside and you can put the wire through the loop and pull it from the inside to the outside, you can see I have both hanger parts here to pull through the wire.

Can I ask how you removed the light blue wire on the door side connector? Drivers side.

I see there's a purple slide out on the end, which I thought would release the wires but I still can't get that pin out. [emoji35]

I just drilled it out. So never mind.
