Hey all,

I'm Alden. I bought a new Camaro SS (Summit White with matte black stripes) last December and have been perusing the site for some ideas and tips for upgrades that I'd like to do this summer. But, I thought I'd introduce myself too.

I'm a first time Camaro owner and I'm loving the car. My wife and I live downtown Chicago and this is our only car. She actually drives it more than I do as she drives to work everyday and I bike or transit. She looks pretty good in it and get's a number of looks / thumbs ups from people :)

As of now all I've done is add a K&N Intake which sounds great under throttle. I'll soon be adding a strut tower as I'm big on handling, and wheel spacers from H&R. Next year I hope to get a Borla S-Type exhaust and some matte black wheels to match the stripes.

I have a 20% tint scheduled for mid-July. I've also blacked out the side marker lights. I'm going to be replacing the center console trim with a Summit White painted piece. It's the rough plastic part around the cupholders and forward that doesn't match anything. RPI designs custom paints these parts and I think the accent will look good. I've thought about trying to paint myself, not sure that this piece is a good one to have a go at though since there are lots of angles.

I did buy some Pirelli Scorpions a week after I bought it in December. Impressive tires. Between the traction control and those skins, the winter handling was spectacular! Those of you in the Midwest know what our winter was like here.
