jeffny09 06-12-2012 03:03 PM

sorry im lost...how do u do tuning with him if hes in texas?

Bumblebee SS 06-12-2012 03:09 PM

I get the car on the dyno and log it, email it to him and within like 10-15 min i get a tune back and load it up and repeat. been doing that for a while with him and works amazing. its like he can be in 2 places at once

Bumblebee SS 06-12-2012 05:12 PM

So i sent the owner of fastlane an e-mail about 2 weeks ago and didnt hear back about the parts missing and what-not, and today I sent another e-mail telling him the review on his kit is up. When i bought the kit he said he would love a review on this kit so here a real review. problems and all to the kit working and making nice power

Well guys, just my two cents worth, I have what sounds like the exact same set up from fastlane (aem tru boost controller, aem air/fuel gauge, aem meth injection, zl1 extended tip turbo kit with a phase 2 comp cam, dual fuel pumps, and no issues whatsoever, it runs like a.dream, 17,000 miles on the turbo kit and still hauling a$$. It is a kick a$$ kit with no maintenance issues. Who hasn't ordered something by mail order and have something shorted? No reason to blast the company, patience is a virtue, anytime I need guidance from those guys, they always return calls, emails, or text messages. In the end, great product and great customer service for me. BTW- play with it a bit and you will see 650 rwhp on 9 psi......& fastest 5th gen camaro at the Texas mile in October 2011,,, 178.1 mph. (With the stock clutch)

I think sharing the truth is not considered blasting someone...at least not in my world....your's may be different apparently.

thats because a supercharger is belt driven and it will slow that pully down equaling lower boost

Just wait a few months. There should be some lower cost ones coming out soon that are really nice.

why do u say that?

Bumblebee SS 06-13-2012 12:27 AM

after they sell enough the prices will start going down usually

speedmon 06-13-2012 01:25 AM

Thats quite the sig...BB
I have to finish my 68 before I move onto another project (I swore I would, this time) You're welcome anytime......

The interior is killing me.....too many little pieces...too many trips to home depot for fasteners and work arounds.

I think I might do a turbo 4.8L truck next....lots of room to work, parts are heavy duty and cheap. If I blow up the engine, its 500 as opposed to 4000.

I think it was 80 here today.........I'm working but come on out! Do a gumball rally with that yellow thing.....you can data log and tune....
