Planetside Sequal: March 2011
 

Sony has announced on the official Planetside Forums that a Planetside Sequel will be getting released this march!

I am so geeking out over this :D :happyanim: Just praying that Sony doesn't end up screwing this one up like they did with the original! Game was freaking AWESOME when it first came out, then they ruined it with the expansion.

After attempting to keep up on news on this, I'm somewhat skeptical that it's actually coming out this year and not next year... So far the three images below are the ONLY thing close to a screenshot that's been released:

So either Sony isn't as far along as everyone things, or they are keeping a REALLY tight lid on this thing!

Oh! This game might be good. But I've never been a big fan of SOE. I tried planetside for a few days back in the day. It seemed somewhat complicated and I didn't have time to play with my other mmo's.

I'll research it more. ;)

Yeah, I'm definitely no fan of SOE either after they messed up both Planetside and Star Wars Galaxies. But it SOUNDS like they may be trying to get their act together...

I played the original, and like Brokinarrow said, I lost interest after they screwed it up along with SWG. Hopefully this one turns out well.

Well, one bit of promising news: the CEO for SOE has come out and said that BFRs (the mechs) will NOT be in the new one.
