http://images-cdn.ecwid.com/images/87523/131243583.jpg http://images-cdn.ecwid.com/images/87523/131243582.jpg After the Camaro Fest III event we have decided to reconsider tooling up our Rear Quarter Ports, the production ports will be made in RTM Composite and will include the outer panels, inner mounting rings adhesive and instructions. Installation will be very similar to our Bumper Ports. Production parts will be cosmetically identical to our prototyped parts found on our development car. Bumper port install video, for reference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=YZ01YLV-HK4 They will replace the non-functional rear triple gills with a three dimensional intake scoop, which can be trimmed open. Sold with a closed off carbon finish inset. Will it fit my Camaro? Can be installed on any 5th gen; Camaro Zl1, SS, RS, LT and LS. Item is in stock http://www.acscomposite.com/store/#!...67&id=14152688 .... |

I want in
For Xmas |
Will there be a painted option available or do we need to get them painted?
|
Carbon HydroDipped will be certain, color matching can be considered.
I can always send parts out, but our painter has a 125$ minimum run charge. It would be beneficial to paint a series of them |
I like them, but feel they should have been bigger. Similar to the Xenon side scoop in size.
|
I stand by all of ACS products, since most my car is of which!!! But i do agree with the above comment. If they were a bit larger I would be all over this. they still look fantastic but im looking to make mine a bit bigger of an opening.
|
Thank you for the order guys, we are currently at 17!
I will need to update the list in my first post. Don't forget to post on facebook and ask away any questions you may have on the thread. " I like them, but feel they should have been bigger. Similar to the Xenon side scoop in size." The reason for the size was a balance with the car's line. In order to create a deeper intake, it would have meant a negative slope given we did not want to pass the OEM gill size, we were limited in size.... We did try several combinations, after reviewing with a few dozen Camaro owners these were the most popular. Those of you who say them at the fest can comment on how they look... most dont notice right away, but you see them walk back and look again and comment the Camaro should have been built this way :-) A quick way to make them appear larger is to trim the back wall and incline the trim.... |

Hi guys,
A simple bump, we had a series of request for these over the last few months.... this is your chance. We are at 12 / 40. |
was just wondering why nobody has came out with some sort of rear vents, i too wish they were bigger, if your gonna cut a hole in your car i would rather them be bigger and more noticeable

but.... hmmm... larger vents..... Great idea.... I wonder what that would look like? :D (but don't forget to notice my ACS ports on the bumper!) |
^^ looks wicked ! now something like that would sell, where you cut out the hole and place the insert and it looks like that, without the costs of all the body work to get them custom made
|
interested, but, how much is the extra Shipping Cost to Germany ?? please write my an PN

any updates?

Hi Guys,
We are working on building our pre-order list, We are still working to break the 20. In the meantime, if you did give us a pre-order and interested in any of other products, feel free to PM me and I'll give you a 10$ fidelity discount on a new order. Can be applied to a new functional mailslot kit, decklid cover, port lights.... ;-) Feel free to spread the word about our upcoming RQ ports, the faster we get to 40, the sooner we'll have our parts. |
i want these real bad!
|
do you guys plan on making these ports bigger? i think there just too small. maybe make the port at least 2 inches

Hi Guys,
We have been tabulating our orders and have yet to reach the magic number. By all means if anyone of you wish to cancel the order or trade for other items like our new T4 Splitter or Tl1 insert, i understand and will try, and make it up to you. The pre-order system was simply done to gauge interest, we are committed to tool these us the second we reach 40. In the meantime, help us share the information so more of us know about the rear quarter and we can reach our release to tooling number. |
are we close to 40? i want these real bad!
|
Last i heard we were in the high 20's

Hi guys we just hit 25 orders. Not the 40, but will say you guys have been very patient with this and feel terrible about it... I was about to send the deposits back and then decided to still kick off the tooling.
I Hope you guys will help us promote these and share your installation experience once you get them. i installed the proto set on our car and will say they were the easiest of our ports to install... I don't have a ETA yet, but we are now progressing :-) If anyone is interested in jumping in, here is the link ! http://www.acscomposite.com/store/#!...67&id=14152688 |
