JVibe92 Camaro Build Thread

Well, I decided to finally start my own build thread.

First a little about myself as of 1/16/2013.

I was born in Venezuela and didn't come to the US until i was 3. I live in Texas where more permanently; Houston. I go to college at Texas Tech University but will be transferring to the University of Houston. I'm 20 years old and if i count my cards right I will be opening my own physical therapy clinic where I will be doctoring.

The reason for me ending up with a Camaro was solely on the Transformers movie, not gonna lie. Where I saw the 2010 Camaro SS, i was like "damnn, i wish I had that car" and now I do, just not the SS :/

I bought the silver mettalic 2011 Chevy Camaro LS for around 22500 from the delear cause he had to match my price from a picture on a coupon in a magazine :))

Here she is, I thought it was the fastest thing ever haha I know lame.

Purchased on September 2010. Bought with only 8 miles on it.

Another one of me taking my prom date to prom, now still happily together at almost 2 years :)

Now shes been through some deals, had my first accident when I guy pulled a gun on me by greenspoint because i "Cut him off" and got in a high speed chase where she decided to go SS on me. He had a raptor, raised and it ended with me getting away after a 10 mile chase on I-45 at 120mph. I got hit by a semi trying to cross a feter all at once but ended up leaving the scene cause he tried to get me STILL and rammed me off the road but my Grand theft auto kicked in and ended up losing him in a neighborhood.. dents and bullet holes yet no cop ever noticed..... TRUE STORY HERE TOO. Charges were never placed but I paid 6000$ in damage... I know FML.

Well my first mod was an air intake, I chose spectre for the very reason I chose the LS. Sleeper. No one uses spectre but as my dyno chart proved, I got 14 hp and 13 TQ. For 120$ that was best bang for my buck.

My next mod was visual stuff, like 2 transformer emblems under each camaro, then hood stripes, plastidipped bezels, and the front bowtie delete.

After came Footwell LEDs from ledglow with a switch and 18 different light modes.

Just Recently I had my MRT v2.0 installed and I love it, looks sexy too.

Yeah, got a hella big dent by the fuel side quarter panel

You got any pics of the car when it happen?

On my old phone, I dont even wanna remember that day. REAL BAD EXPERIENCE.

but pretty much it had a deep dent from right above the fuel door to like a couple inches from the trunk

The entire right rear quarter panel had to be thrown away

So what's next with the car? Any new mods on the way?

I am trying to find someone willing to sell me the stock 18 inch alloy rims from the LT and imma get it black. if I cant then I might just buy the catch can or iceolator or throttle body since they all the same price

Just installed my black iceolator. forgot to take pics, DANG! but i love the mod so far. Interesting experience to take apart the IM. Feels good to work on something and have it work. Watch out on torquing bolts. I broke one :(

no where! unless I can round up 1k plus for some TSWs hahah. All my money will be going to headers, tune, ported TB, eagle eyes, RX SC so i can keep the headers, ACS TL1 hood insert, and etc etc etc... the list will never end

I don't know about the same place because I don't know where you broke yours at. Lol but it's one of the 4 middle ones the ones you have to torque 18lbs it broke and now it's just sitting in there and I don't know how to get it out so I can put another bolt in there.

well if its one of the Main ones, like the long ones... then id get it out ASAP

Since everyone seems to want to know about OBX headers, i took some time to take a few more videos of a cold start up, warm start up, highway driving, and 6th gear 65 mph driving as well so you can hear if there is drone. In my opinion, i love the sound.... Idk if its the meanest but its the meanest in my eyes :)

Right now I am running whats in the sig. Mainly, the difference is i am running no resonators and no cats while having longtube headers and a mrt2 axelback. I hope you enjoy these videos

Sorry i didnt take any good RPM revving videos, but i can assure you it sounds sexyy. But in reality we dont rev our cars everyday, maybe some of you though :laugh: , but here is real world stuff for some of you who like to accel to 3-5k rpm isssh just to hear the exhaust. Cold starts were done at 730 in the morning after car has sat in garage for 12 plus hours in 75 degree temp controlled garage. Hope you all like it. :thumbup:

FYI, the videos in my build thread when revving are when i just got them but now they have carboned up and sound much more throatier and meanier. I might make a rev one, i just dont like revving it much cause i feel obnoxious but i am going to the dragstrip tomorrow so ill take more videos :)

Car is looking great. You should really consider doing a front fascia blackout like for the area infront of the grill and headlights. Kind of like the one on my car

UPDATE:

Car tuned my LMR and gained 13 hp with a quick built tune by stephen. Retuning monday most likely as gains are still to be had while datalogging to do. Looks promising. Reading high 270 on the dyno that day. so maybe mid 13s may happen in the 1/4 mile now :)
