Dyno Results From Lingenfelter 650 HP Upgrade

1 Attachment(s)
Here are my results. Baseline was 501 HP and 494 TQ. Anyone have any ideas on where to shift at based on this dyno?

Yes....as close to redline as possible....assuming you have an M6.

The idea is to maximize *average* HP in each gear. To do that, you have to shift well beyond your HP peak rpm - typically this is several hundred rpm, depending upon the spacing of your transmission gears.

When calculating shift points, you can ignore the torque curve.

Thanks, It is a M6

Better yet, what did they say to do? What mods? 6300 is pretty good with a stock cam.

It's lingenfelters 650 HP package, they list the modifications on their website. I asked them the same question and they said 5800.

Somebody is telling you to shift at or very near peak HP rpm. Not the best idea for optimum ET.

The only way to know where to shift IMO is run the car. I don't feel like my ZL1 likes 6200 so I always short shift it a bit. Car just feel stronger to me.

once you get you launch figured out try a run at 5800, 6000, then 6200.

I never go to the track for the first time thinking I know my tire pressure, launch RPM, or shift points if I have never run the car. I just play until it works.

63-6500 IMO looking at the graph unless the valve springs can't handle that or the rev limiter is low. Bob Cosby is correct in his post IMO. At the track I would start at 6200 and work your way up looking at trap speed gains or losses.

unless they bumped the limiter 6250 is all you get.

Thanks guys, yeah I get it tomorrow so I will be testing it out. Looking forward to feel all that torque.

Just got the car today and I'm very happy. I'm very impressed with what LPE did. Supercharger sounds awesome and the power feels impressive. The torque this thing has is incredible.

:w00t:Thanks for sharing, I'm hoping to get the same package in the spring.
