Hi Chase. What's your opinion of ARH LTs short system to OE NPP vs ARH to-the-axle kit on a power vs loudness basis. ARH is claiming another 10rwhp for their X pipe but I'm going to assume it's noticeably louder. If not, I'll take the HP. My application will be on a convertible SS 6MT so I'm a little concerned about getting it too loud.

Personally, I really like the way the factory NPP sounds with headers. I have a really hard time believing you will see a 10 rwhp gain with an x-pipe on these cars. No one has been able to do that but I would love to see it.

What would be the price for the long tube header system that mates to the NNP?

I've heard this same opinion on the sound of LT headers into OE catback from some prominent tuners. OTOH, I've seen and heard from some members that the NPP when it opens is "raspy" which seems to be the worst sound possible out of an exhaust. Perhaps you can settle this once and for all--and this is important to me as a prospective header buyer--does the ARH header into the OE catback have a pleasing sound?

I think long tube headers and the NPP sounds great but that sort of thing is always subjective. Pairing them with high flow cats will have a deeper tone than cat deletes.

Post Script: I am thrilled with the sound, power and especially the throttle response of my bolt on package with ARH LTs + HFC into the OE catback with NPP. I gained 43 rwhp and 35 tq from a baseline that includes a CAI. The driveability improvements are frankly, impressive. You will never want to go back. Go for it!!! :clap2:

Almost zero. These cars do not have that problem anything like to the way the 4th Gen Camaros did.
