Not sure about rear bow tie

2 Attachment(s)
I have the black Defenderworx bow tie on the rear of the car, but it seems like color has faded over time. As you can see in the pic, it's a really faded black and the rest of the car isn't. I'm not sure I like the looks of it any more. I'm thinking of just removing the rear bow tie. The second pic is a quick photoshop of how it would look. I don't think the back would look too plain, since I have the "supercharged" badge and "SS" badge back there.

Opinions:iono:

that supercharged badge is ugly.. on a side note how do you take the bow-tie badge off? isn't there a hole it was clipped into?

Only 2010 Camaros had any holes for the rear bow ties. They were just for positioning though, all model years they are held on with two sided tape. Most people use dental floss or fishing line to cut through the tape. Then use Goof Off to remove the adheasive left behind. There are other methods you can do a search on "Emblem Removal" and read other methods.

I used 12lb. test fishing line. Dental floss kept breaking. Recommend warming the badge (and thus, the sticky tape) with a medium-heat hair dryer first, to soften the tape. That stuff stick big time.

I think your car looks good without the Bowtie. I took off my little SS in the corner, and then the Bowtie. Was gonna leave it plain, but my 2010 had holes. So I stuck a red Sparks SS over the holes.

Yep - the side badges are held on by tape only

Op - I think the car looks really plain without any badging on the rear. You could look to get another form of bowtie or a different badge entirely

I like the bow-ties on my SS, they are almost white looking. I don't know if they are special to the Transformer Edition or not, but my other two cars didn't have them.

I took my bowtie off my 2012, no holes, & got a bowtie painted CFM from Lupe, his username is overhaulengines I think, he does a good job. I used the fishing line then got some automotive adhesive remover spray, worked like a charm. Here is a pic...

I took mine off. Used fishing line, just be careful and don't rub it on the paint. Then used a rubber wheel and the sticky tape was gone.

I like the trunk badge functionally, it's what I use to shut the trunk.
