stock sound system vs boston acoustics
 

just want to know how good the stock sound system will be, i plan on getting a 1ss, and i want to know how good the regular audio will be compared to the 2ss.

Audio is one of the most subjective things to judge, different people have different ears, and tastes, etc and I don't believe anyone except GM employees have had much of a chance to compare final versions of the audio systems. The BA audio is a $500 option for the 1SS so if you want good factory audio I would just add it if you are pre-ordering.

so ur saying that i dont have to order a 2ss if i want the boston acoustics?

I'm pretty sure on this. You can buy the upgrade on any Camaro.

I was in Dallas Wednesday at 4 PM when the Auto Show opened. The radio was hooked up in the base price Camaro. I was impressed how nice the standard radio sounded. The Factory techs had left it hooked up for about 10minutes and then pulled the fuse. I didn't have enough time to check it out for long but it did sound good with the FM Stereo Radio. It had nice base and the twetters in the pillars.

Get the upgrade if you can afford it. Because there really is no ez upgrade path to the head unit.

Every factory system since my 91 Lumina has sounded great. My 08 HHR SS has a Pioneer system with a factory installed 8" Pioneer sub and it flat out ROCKS!!

it also comes with the 2lt ,but can be optioned on the 1lt and 1ss
