Did I brake my clutch or transmission?

Yesterday I was finally able to take my car to the track, unfortunately I broke something when I tried to heat up my tires because my dumba** forgot to take off traction control, revved up the car let off the clutch and heard a loud thump. Car turned off right away thinking I blew something in the motor. I started it right up and sounded normal, oil pressure was also good. So I pressed the clutch and felt fine, put it in first gear and went in normally, released the clutch and then a horrible grinding. Won't be able to drop the tranny for another week or so which is driving me nuts!

I cannot tell if it's the clutch or the tranny. Has anyone ever experience something like this?

Probably your drivetrain. Stock axles tend to go when launched hard.

Could be axle, rear diff, driveshaft bolts, etc.

Not the axle. I've broken one of those already before lol

I can hear it more up front between the engine and tranny

Throw out bearing.

Throw out bearing makes a squealing noise like a belt is loose I just replaced mine last week.
