Increase in hp for 2015 ZL1?
With the highly rumored 600+ hp dodge Challenger hellcat coming in a 2015 model, will Chevrolet respond by increasing the hp on the 2015 ZL1?

Doubt it.

I think after the stingray is launched and they offer a z06 or zr1 they will tweak the zl1 well over 600 hp

my guess is it will go away or be very limited due to 2015 cafe reqt's

I've pretty much given up hope of a power increase for this generation. Chevy has signaled that they are going away from the hp war with the camaro, with more of a focus on handling. I am waiting to either do a late '14 order or any info on a '15. I don't want to miss the zl1 because I have a feeling that the 6th generation will not be quite as powerful as this current camaro.
Edit: Keep an eye on the next cts-v. That could be a clue to what happens for the next zl1. |

ZR1 guys were having trouble hitting 750rwhp, YES THERE ARE exceptions, but thats the norm. I see alot of 730rwhp ZL1s on pump gas no meth. |

Just like the damn Rustang gt500, the dodge won't perform in the twisties. It probably won't lay down a good quarter either. So I don't care, I love my car. I'm some headers (in my den ready for install) some pullies, accessories, and a tune away from it being a moot point anyway.
Plus Fbodfather signed my car yesterday. So I'm happy. |

I'm not sure how chevy is going to address this, but from what I've seen so far it looks like they will go the route towards handling and track prowess (somewhat similar to the late '70's vette and camaro....but not quite as anemic with the hp). |
