Load your drive train, aka hold down the brake, and get the rpm's up. Don't floor it, just load it to 2k-3k range, find out what works best for your launch. And at the light don't stomp it, progressively push it to the floor. And watch out, if you stomp it at the last amber, you could end up jumping the gate for a nice little dq :O

Are you talking with TC on? Tonight I tried with it off .... push on the brake, push on the gas and around 1200 to 1500 it would try to start to spin. Also this is on street pavement, I realize the tracks gonna be sticky.

If your car isn't making huge power try shutting off both the stabilitrak and the traction control, heat the tires, and bring the r's up to 1100. That always worked best for me with the stock tires and even the drag radials. With the Dr's I was able to cut 1.60 60's every single time. Now with slicks, 650 rwhp, a converter and 4.10's I'm still trying to figure out the best method. So far all I have tried was leaving at 2500 and all that was gd for was a 1.48 60'. But that was without the gears. So I def have some experimenting to do. |
