Guess the Z/28's base MSRP.
Let's play a game. Everyone guess what the Z28's base price will be. It's probably going to be a while before that is released but it will be fun to see what everyone thinks and to see who was closest when it's finally released.
I'm going to say $69,995 including destination and gas guzzler tax, before options. edit: Keep in mind that GM has already said that the Z/28 will be positioned above the ZL1. |
64,950

Keep in mind, the ZL1 is still available so this car will not be priced in that range. There are also a lot of Z28 specific items on this car. Body components, wheels, tires, engine, glass, suspension, etc. It's not like the 1LE which has a lot of parts borrowed from other models. Even the ZL1 shares a lot of parts with other Camaros. I think the reason this car still has a back seat and the reason it's being offered without HIDs, fog lights, speakers and mylink is because it's going to be Stingray expensive but it won't have all of the amenities that car will have. |
50K
|
I say $46,000 no taking into consideration the gas guzzler tax. Maybe $47,000 since I see the 2014's getting almost a $1K price increase.
Yes, it has the LS7, but it's stripped down. less insulation, almost no speakers, no mylink. No magnetic ride like the ZL1. That's going to cut down costs in other places. That also puts it between a 1LE and ZL1. 1LE 426 hp Z28 500 hp ZL1 580 hp It will be boss pricing IMO. |

Yep GM will sell between 5500 - 6000 units the first run @ 64,950 |

Lol my 2ss dusk was 49k sticker
Z28 is gonna be 60k plus Zl1s sell for 76k down here Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2 |
remember so many of the Z/28 parts will ONLY be produced for that car.... that is EXPENSIVE.... this car even has different fenders for crying out loud...
I think this becomes the Camaro flagship and will only be cheaper than the COPA. |

It looks to me like the Z/28 is slotted above the ZL1 as far as content. Remember that removing items can actually cost more. LS7, Carbon Ceramic Brake, Recaro Seats, wide lightweight wheels and tires and some other model specific trim parts make this whole package likely more expensive than the ZL1.
I'll say MSRP $61,995 before options, A/C or gas guzzler tax. |
Im going to guess right around 50K, because its not a ZL1. The ZL1 is more powerful, and has more technology (and options) in it. The new z/28 they just revealed will be "stripped down" (in comparison) They said it would only have one speaker, air conditioning would be an OPTION, etc. Its going to be a fantastic car, but it wont be as expensive, or more expensive than a ZL1

Take the ZL1, add 5k+ for the motor, another 5k+ for the brakes, another 3k+ for the seats...
I'll be AMAZED if it comes in less than 10 grand over the ZL1 MSRP I'm not gonna argue why a less powerful motor would cost more, why it can be expensive to leave things out of a car, etc..... the COPO doesn't even have carpet, heater or a single speaker! |
I’m going to assume the lack of options (even less so than the ZL1) will cheapen the build a bit. Sounds like you can maybe choose your exterior color and A/C, that’s about it. And the Recaros will be available on the other models (ZL1, SS).
This is one of those cars that I could see being sold at $50,000 or $65,000 depending on how GM wants to spin it, but I’m guessing it will be closer to 50k. |
Engine is a 10k premium brakes another 8 to 10. Seats in CTS V have run over 2. That's 22k over an SS. Now add tires and wheels. Both nearly custom. And the other low volume parts. If under 65 awesome for us.

$74,999.
|
My guess will be $62,995. Its going to cost more than a ZL1 with the LS7 and the carbon breaks.
|
i would say in the high forty's.i know one thing....I WANT ONE.
