Fontana track day discount.
 

Hi guys,im trying to put together a C5 track day,it would be pretty cool for a bunch of Camaros to take over Fontana. Im in communication with speedventures about working with us to either give us free garages, or just a plain discount,i have already heard back, and the answer is yes about working with us.What ever it is is a good thing, especially since it not too terrible expensive to run there with them anyway.Im writing this early so we have time to work out all the details,as well as give you time so you can make it.It will be on Sunday August 11th. There are always plenty of mustangs there,so it our time to shine :)

No LS Showdown this summer. Maybe the race team will wont to do this

august is the next speed ventures. to my knowledge a porsche club and nasa are also doing track days .

that site is a list of known track days...may31-june 2 is the next one ran by a porsche club dont know if they would let us peasents play tho

Question for you guys that have been running with speedventures.This will be my 4th time with them,i have run the black,and blue group in my 2011 1LT RS.Now that i have a car that is capable im wanting to run the red group,however getting one scratch on "baby"isn't ok.So if anyone hes been in that group, is it guys who will try and bang doors with you, or is it civilized? Also, it would be fun to run with a bunch of Camaros,thats why im trying to set this up.Every time i have been there, there have only been 1 or 2 other Camaros,what group are you guys going to run?

First time for me...old ladys, blind people group, etc.,...will have an instructor ride along for sure...

It doesn't matter,at least your going to be on track :)

Purple or intermediate group

i will be black or whatever the highest point by anywhere group is and maybe ask for a run or two in green

you need to know how to drive with real race cars passing you or you will be the danger especially with a new car you never tracked.

I also used to race superbikes at the professional level,i probably have 6000 laps around Fontana,thats why since i have a car thats capable i want to run open passing.But like i said im not willing to swap paint,im just looking for fun,but i also want to run with my fellow C5'rs

Damn that sounds great,but that weekend is my Silverstate race,so its still Aug.for me.

It's a 2 day event...
I think we are looking at $170 with free timing and a free T Shirt but I will confirm that with the guys at extremespeed. Let me know aprrox how many are planning on coming.

Oh yeah,i haven't driven baby in a month(except to get gas the other day)i am going to run silverstate, then take them off til Fontana,then i imagine they will be toast.
