Locking Gas CAP

Hey all,

Does anyone know of any locking gas caps out there for the Camaro? I know there are locking fuel doors but I just want a new locking cap to keep those idiots out there from putting anything into my tank. Stant's website says that they don't make any for the 2010 camaro.

Let me know if you guys know anything about this. Thanks!

I haven't found one yet. I remember way back when someone said they would be making them, but haven't heard anything since.

Just in case though, check the vendors section.

I've checked with the dealership and Kragen's and nothing yet. Still too early.

I'm also interested in a locking gas cap. I'm not into the locking gas door.

They said cap not door. So close but no cigar.

I have on the STANT 10504 and it works fine. The very first time I put it on I got a "tighten gas cap" message on the DIC, but haven't seen it since.

Oh, and it doesn't have the strap! Doesn't bother me though.........never did like the cap dangling on the side of my car.

Stant 11504 or 10504. Same cap different packaging. Also, Carquest 35067 which is the same part. I have the Carquest part. Works fine.

Thanks guys. I think I will give that Stant cap a try. I guess the worst that can happen is I'm out 15 bucks if it doesn't work for me and throws me a warning. No big deal. I just need something soon. Moving to a new apartment building and I have to park kind of out of sight from the building in a secluded lot, so the last thing I want are some punk kids trying to put stuff in my tank. I wont be worried once there are more Camaros on the road but right now theres probably like only 3 in my town so it still kind of draws attention. I dont really care about stealing gas, yeah so I'd be out 40 bucks, no biggie. Working on getting a 2-way Viper security system installed as well to deter/catch any would be vandals/thiefs. :)

I bought the Stant 10504 from amazon and it works fine as long as you don't have the "gas cap caddy" bracket installed on your door (thread - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...hlight=gas+cap) - the "caddy" hits the top of the locking gas cap and makes the door bulge...

There have been reports that the Stant caps tend to have seal issues over time leading to error messages displayed - so far not on the Camaro but I've read it in other car forums while searching for a Camaro locking gas cap.

Did you notice the hanger on the inside of you fuel door that holds your cap away from the car?

Are you going to say that lame hanger actually works on your car?

Maybe this one's been mentioned before...

Bought the Stant 10504 and its works fine. Haven't had any issues so far whatsoever. Thanks for the help guys. Now I can sleep a little sounder knowing that some punks aren't putting stuff in my tank.

Ok........this question is a little late, since the car will be here in a few weeks, but doesn't the fuel door lock from the inside where you have to push a button next to the driver's seat or something to open it up? Or do we just walk out and open it up?
