Urgent Advice Please!!

Hey guys, I have a question to all!

I have a 2LT/RS Summit White with Inferno Orange Interior, and its an A6.
My car has 1900km on it. With black factory stripes.

I've wanted a manual for a while, and found one in a town close by, its also a 2LT/RS but IOM exterior and same interior as mine, Inferno Orange, BUT an M6 (which I kinda wanted). It has 2300km which is close to mine. The car was returned on the 60 day policy return to dealer since wife didnt like the manual lol (thats what the dealer told me). With black factory stripes

So here is the lemma, White and A6 OR an Orange M6? I love both colors but white just a tad more  But what my question is: is the manual trans fun to drive that this trade will be worth it? i've never driven manual before fyi, but would love to try as I've heard its more fun!

Here are pics of both! Input is appreciated!

Thanks

Most likely you're gonna lose $2k to $3k on the trade.......is it worth it to you to lose 2-3 thousand dollars to have a manual?? It wouldn't be worth it to me............

That is up to you. I have always gone with manual on a sports car. Definatley more fum to drive. Do a car fax on the other vehicle just to make sure it was not in an accident. Good luck.

Thanks for the quick reply guys! I wont lose anything 67 Convertible as mine is an Auto and theres manual, with everything else exactly same so Im losing only $1500 approx which is auto cost to just break even with them!

But as some people say you have more control in manual which is making me want to trade  :D

It would be totally different if you had driven a manual in the past, but you don't even know if your gonna like it. You better find out before you make a big mistake.

How do you suggest I do that? I dont think the dealer will let me test drive his manual! lol

But should I go for a class with manual or? I will be more than happy to learn manual though! Thanks.

Oh no, you don't need a class. It's not that hard to learn. Manual is a blast, but they are for sure not for everyone. I'm not sure how your gonna find out if it's for you. Do you know anyone with a stick that you could drive?

They're both nice looking cars. I would keep the automatic, you can play with shifting if you want with your tap shifters and if you ever drive in heavy traffic an automatic is way more forgiving.

Yeah my friend does, he has a maxima 06 I think. I tried reversing but it turned off the car  But it feels like fun as I love car racing games on the computer, and I used to have the whole kit thing, steering wheel, pedals and stick shift and I always drove using it

I have another friend who just bought a ford focus and he bought he manual and was his first manual car, he said till now hes loving it and its been about 3 - 4 months! He said he couldnt believe that he was missing out on the fun when he used to have an automatic car haha

So if you think its a blast, I'll be willing to learn and enjoy since also its a sports car :D

Do you have any friends with manual tranny cars? Or maybe you can rent one first for a few days just to practice on and make sure you like it. Cuz you already have a car you love, hate to see you trade it in for one you won't like to drive as much. Buuuttt having said that, a manual is WAY more fun to drive :w00t:. And almost anyone with a few hours of seat time can pick it up easily. Good luck with whatever you do. :chevy:

That's what my dad was telling me, but he did admit having heck loads of fun in his first few cars which were manual haha
