This is the best V6 car you can possibly get

Honestly, this is the best V6 car you can possibly get. I was at the race track the other day and even the racers couldn't tell this was only a V6. This baby rides damn good and very fast as well. Future V6 owners will not be disappointed, trust me. Just from driving an hour I got almost 15 people who acknowledged the car and many stupid kids wanting to race with their Hondas, but I find that a waist of time :sm0:. Overall this car is a head turner for sure and I'm glad to be an owner of such a beautiful car :chevy:

It helps that many people will not be able to tell the difference between the V6 and V8.

I will probably get a V6

... V6 for me. As much as I would like to have the V8, the six is perfect for my situation... a daily driver. It's great looking, powerful (as much hp as my V8 Mustang), well-balanced, and gets 29 mpg !! All for less than $30K !! That's pretty tough to beat !!

You weren't ON the race track with a 2-day old car, were you? ;)

Congrats on the car in any case!

no no no hahaha. my uncles races and he wanted me to come down with him.
i could honestly say i havn't pushed the pedal more than half way and i could already tell this thing is a beast. i wish they would have kept that torque gage on the bottom gages. i cant imagine how the SS feels

Those bottom gauges have to go. After the first few crashes while people are looking down you'll know. They look good but need to come WAY up by the main gauges.

But yea 300 HP will feel like a V8 This is why no one has love for the mid 70's Camaro's. Cause kids are just to fixated on HP numbers not quality of the ride.

My 305 v8 2bbl had 140 HP (before mods of course). Just sayin'.

A very old V8, sure. The V6 is a good car but let's not live in fantasy land.

Gotta admit, the lower cost, friendlier insurance, and insanely good gas mileage make the V6 very tempting. Use the extra money on a few engine mods and a nice suspension upgrade, and it will be a beast of a car. On the other hand, our beloved leader will certainly ban V8s soon, so I'd like to get one now while I can. Decisions...

The Canadian Pricing for V8's is a litttle rich. A 2ss is 43K.
So it's a v6 for me - the main bonus there is "regular gas"
and mileage which btw is never gonna be 29mpg...ever. (someone please prove me wrong:)

levi1922 05-16-2009 05:19 PM

im getting a V6 and im fine with that,
it sounds and looks amazing.

stovt001 05-16-2009 05:53 PM

Still can't decide which sound I like better. The V6 is revy, sounds like it just wants to take off and RUUUUUUUUUN. It sounds highly tuned, like a thoroughly modern high performance/smaller-mid displacement engine. The V8, on the other hand, has that real nice rumble. It is a little lazy, little old school, but powerful and sophisticated and just awe inspiring. Both are just so good in different ways.

No doubt this V6 is gonna make a name for itself. The Camaro, regardless of powertrain
can hold it's own with just about anything. :)
