Who's running Silver State????
 

Mods please dont move,i want as much exposure as possible.I know there have been a thread or 2 on this,but The Silver State open road race http://www.sscc.us/ is just around the corner.There have been a few of you that said you are going,but i want to know who is all going and confirmed.Those that haven't seen the start from May, here it is.This start is right up to 140 mph http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4U30s...yxezW8yHrxFvSA The reason im wanting to know this is because we need time to coordinate us getting together for the parade,car show,and run to the staging area.Also on Sun. AM we get a police escort at 80-90mph to the staging area.I would like to talk to the event people, as well as the Ely sheriff, to see if we have a bunch of camaros if we can be the lead,as well as a 100mph escort to the staging lanes,i think the video would be pretty cool here on C5

I actually live in Ely. In fact, I think I have pictures of your car. Nice looking 1LE, one of the few LE's that I've actually seen. The next Silver State isn't until September, so you've got some time, right?

You should get into the 1/2 mile and 1 mile shootout the days before the race. That would be cool. In May there was a maroon red Lambo that we clocked at 197 in the mile. Crazy fast! We could actually feel the speed as he passed. My friend's dad runs the tow truck for the drag race (thankfully he hasn't had to use it in quite some time), so we go out with him and get a pretty good spot along the fence about 3/4ths down the track and set-up a radar.

Mods this isn't a California thing!The reason i asked you not to move it is cause people come from all over the world,and the country for this race,and now hardly anyone will see this except the few who live here in California.

Dont have a suit yet...maybe spring. definitely on the bucket list

Went in May, had a blast in the 150class. Got 2nd place driving my buddies M3.
He's busy in September, was thinking about bringing the Camaro. So busy not sure I'll make it out, but it's such a great trip.

You dont need a suit for your 1st time,thats only if you run the Grand Touring class.All you need is a SA 2005 or better helmet.If you want to talk about it we can talk at Fontana,i think your going.

Yeah, at the awards banquet in Vegas the yellow Lamborghini that ran the mile hit 230mph,and yeah he won,man that would be cool.Are you the guy who i saw on the west side of town when i was detailing my car at the old gas station?
