Need Help With Exhaust ASAP!!

Hey guys. I just picked up my car today after a very long time from a customization shop. I was very shocked to see it and i mean in a good way, very good way. Anyways i got dynatech headers on with the flowmaster cat back system. I decided to change the tips as well as the diffuser to the zl1 style. The only problem is that the tips stick out too much. I know its personal preference but to me it looks really ugly:facepalm:. I told the shop to cut back towards the muffler and shift them back but they said they cant because i have to replace the whole muffler which i do not want to do. Is there anything i can do? Maybe cut the tips somehow if possible? Anything helps and opinions matter so thanks in advance. :readthethread::readthethread:

I agree, a good shop muffler can fix that. And I agree you need to get that fixed, it does not look good, they are net center and are uneven as well. Get different tip to.

Hate to say it.....but, that looks awful

Take it back to Mr Muffler & have them fix it or just ask for your money back.

Im sure they can cut a bit off the mid pipe and scoot it up some and the realign the tips. Shouldn't take but a minute if they know what they are doing.

That setup is NEVER going to look right, unless you modify it. Those twin tips are straight across and you're trying to make it blend against a rear defuser that's angled. The outside tips are always going to stick out further than the inward ones. Can the outer ones be cut off and moved in? It looks like the inward tip sit fine but the outers stick out too far.

You seriously need tips like these for the right effect: dual wall and tapered to follow the shape of the rear of the car.

I just got these!! Mine is at GET TORQ right now getting these welded to SOLO MACH XL catback. I let them know they need to protrude no more than 1/4" past the ZL Diffuser heat shields that they are fitting up at the same time. I def don't want them sticking out. These are a great price, quality of the welds and steel look pretty good to me.
