N. VA paint protection installers being recommended?

I think I want to get the Venture Shield protector but need some positive or negative comments on installers in Northern Virginia.

Thanks.

Was it 3M?

Looney, that's where I did mine too. They did "ok" job in my books. Can see some creases etc.

Is it just the translucent stuff to protect it from scratches, rocks, and so on?

Paint protection installers?????
PM me and I'll hook you up. My girlfriend details cars. She uses Zaino, the best protecton for your paint. And she details for less than the average detailer.

Thanks but I think I want the Venture Shield product and maybe later have it detailed. PM me and let me know what she charges.

I had it done at ProShield near Dulles Airport. Excellent work. Only one guy, David, but that's all he does. He was working on a Ferrari next and had just finished a Porshe when I first went to check out his shop. It took about 6 hours and he's good about keeping appointments. It cost $600 out the door. That is for front bumper, chin, hood about 18 inches back, mirrors and the front part of the fenders. He will do more for more money. From most angles you can't even see the lines.

can the glasscoat ,be applied to the rally stripes?

vdevine 09-19-2009 06:35 AM

go to this thread for pictures. Realize the flash from the camera makes the edge of the line visable. Very hard to see at different angles, etc. In the thread is a cool video of half a hood covered, then sand blasted....worth the investment. PS. I used Venture Shield. It also goes right over the Rally's.
