Sarah and her 2011 Imperial Blue LT/RS
Hey all! As you may or may not know, I finally took the plunge and bought my first new car-- the car I've always wanted, a new Camaro!-- about a month ago. Since finding this forum I've been coming up with all sorts of things to modify on her, so I figured I'd throw pictures up so everyone could see how she has been coming along.
I'll start out with the photos of her at the dealer and the first day I bought her so you can see the progress: http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/af67/tbw1983/ace.jpg http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/a...15130938-1.jpg http://i994.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-15130943.jpg EDITED 10/2/12: I thought I'd put a list of all the mods I have up to this point here. :D OK! An updated list of mods (I also put this on the front page of this build thread): EXTERIOR MODS: IBM Heritage Grille 20% Window Tint 5% Brow Tint Silver Gill Accents "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE LOSING" mirror decal Aqua blue bowties Imperial Blue Wheel Bowties RS Fender Badging RPI designs "stealth" splash guards "L8RBOYS" Vanity License Plate Sidemarker Blackouts Aqua Blue Hash Marks P13W plasma DRL bulbs GM GFX Rear Diffuser with Square Exhaust UNDER THE HOOD: Hand-painted custom engine cover and fuse box (ABM) Custom engine cover lettering ("CAMARO" fender lettering on engine cover, custom decals) BBK Cold Air Intake MRT V2.0 Exhaust Ported Throttle Body V-MAX Black ICE-Olator GM Aluminum Strut Tower Brace INTERIOR MODS: Aqua blue dome and trunk lighting Aqua blue footwell LED lighting strips Leather-wrapped steering wheel w/controls upgrade Custom dash lettering GM "CHEVROLET" factory-style door sill protectors Radio Face Ghost Armor Custom-Painted Aqua Blue Interior Door & Dash Panels GM Factory black SS leather Seat Warmers PDIM (iPod Reader; my car didn't come with the USB) Remote Start Custom "Camaro" Floor Mats ZL1 Accelerator and Brake Pedal SUSPENSION: SS Springs SS Sway Bars SS Struts/Shocks Brembo SS Brake setup (calipers, pads, rotors, lines, etc) |
So the first thing I did was 20% window tint and a 5% brow stripe on the windshield. I'm not a huge fan of after-market tint, but she needed it! After tinting the windows, I ordered some RS badges and threw them on the fenders, then tinted the side markers with some 5% window tint so they wouldn't stand out so much against the paint.

Looking good. I went with the exact same window tint set up as you and I love it.
Great color by the way.:D |
Next, I ordered a body-color (IBM) heritage grille for her and some of the fender lettering, which I put on the engine cover and on the dash. I also picked up some ridiculously expensive but very pretty door sill protectors. See below. This is as far as I've gotten... stay tuned for more as I can afford it! LOL

Thank you, Drew!! :)

And here are a few more pics with everything done that I took this morning. She is just so photogenic, I can't stop taking pictures of her :)

That's all for now. I'm coming up with more stuff I want to do every day. Pressing, I want the illuminated bow tie for the back. However I hear the 2011s have no hole in the trunk like the '10s do? If anyone knows if this is true and how to get around it without having to drill a hole in my baby please let me know.

New mods! I custom-painted and lettered the fuse box and engine cover. I posted a thread about it in cosmetics but wanted to add it here. I went with ABM instead of IBM because I'm doing aqua lighting under the hood and I wanted it to stand out from the black engine parts more. Plus... I love aqua :)

Very Nice and love the color.
|
Very nice! You are very talented.

Looks good! Glad to see you removed the gawdy dealer badge...
Just looked bad IMHO. If mine has one anything like that it will come off too! I think advertisements for dealers should stay on the license plate frame... again JMHO. |
Oh I agree, 68. I hated the tramp stamp. One day when it was 110* out I went and tugged on it; came right off, no gunk left over. Win.
