GM Tom Peters - Dinner Speaker - Mystic Lake, MN

The Classic Corvettes of Minnesota Club is inviting Camaro owners to participate in a very special event: 17th Annual All Corvette Show July 29 - 31, 2011.

The highlight of this special three-day event is the Saturday Night Dinner at Mystic Lake Casino with guest speaker Tom Peters. Tom is the Chief Design Engineer responsible for the C6 Corvette and most important to us the Fifth Generation Camaro!

It is important to note that this is an only Corvettes Car Show, but we can register as spectators ($5) and the Corvette Club will arrange special parking for our Camaros. So when you fill out the registration, please be sure to identify your car as a Camaro if you are going to drive it to the event. The other reason to identify yourself as a Camaro owner is to encourage more discussion from Mr. Peters about Camaros if we have enough representation at the dinner.

Dinner is $30 per person and is on Saturday, July 30th.

Mr. Peters plans to sign autographs during the dinner event and to be available during the car show on Saturday. So maybe those of us with new Camaros can have Mr. Peters sign parts of our Camaro; Dash, Engine Bay, etc. Cool!

It is also known that Mr. Peters owns a 1969 Red ZL1 and was responsible for the design of the Corvette ZR1, the 35th Anniversary 1989 Corvette, the Corvette Indy concept car, the Pontiac Banshee concept, and the Cadillac Sixteen concept.

The book Camaro - A Legend Reborn, describes Tom Peters and his design teams role in the final design of the 2010/2011 Camaro. I plan to bring my copy and get Mr. Peters to sign it.

I want to thank Classic Corvettes of Minnesota Club for considering us for participation in this unique and special event for Corvette and Camaro enthusiasts. This really shows the camaraderie spirit of classic car owners in the Twin Cities.

Registration deadline is July 15th. The $5 Spectator Fee is per car. Package prices are for Corvette owners only as well as the car show prices.
