Tuning 2012 SS
I previously read somewhere that the 2012 SS won't hold a tune due to different programming because they changed the ECM to a different manufacturer. Is this true?

No. I have a 2011 and she's tuned fine

Ok well then. No. You can still tune a 2012.

True, I also had a 2011 that held a tune but from what I heard was that Chevy changed out the ECM to a different manufacturer for the 2012's. I'll try and get ahold of my friend that works very close with the GM guys and see what he says. It just startled me when I read the post because I might get a tune on the '12.

They changed the ECU on the V6. Pretty sure the V8 is the same as 10/11. Now the V6 and V8 have the same manufacturer of the ECU. They used to use different ones.

Ted over at Jannetty sent me my tune for my '12 on the 27th of last month and it's still there.

Ok, great! So the only one that changed was the V6. Awesome! Thanks everyone!
