Suggestions ECS 1500 kit/fuel

Thinking about which S/C kit I want to go with. The ECS Novi 1500 kit looks like a good setup. Right now I am only shooting for 650rw so I think I would stick with the Paxton head unit. I seriously doubt I will want to go higher on this for quite a while.

Will the 60/lb hr injectors that come with the kit support 650rw when coupled with a ZL1 pump + ADM FCPM? I am not trying to spend $1000 on a dual pump system if it isn't required. It seems like this would be sufficient from what I have seen on the forums.

Car is currenlty:

2010 SS M6 (454rwhp)
LMR CAI
2inch primary LT's, 3in xpipe, 3 in all the way to the tips
Tick Performance Stage 2 blower cam

planned:

ECS Novi 1500 kit
ZL1 fuel pump/ADM FCPM

If the 60lb/hr injectors won't be sufficient I was thinking about these FAST 85lb/hr injectors (good price)

The quick answer is yes. i ran the base kit w/meth and headers and made 684whp. However, since you have a blower cam, you may want to upgrade the injectors

I don't have a cam but I have the ECS kit and long tubes. I ran out of fueling at ~570HP with 8lbs boost. I have since added a ZL1 pump (still using BAP) and will be putting in ID850's and opening up the restrictor plate. Hoping for around 650 HP. So my guess is even with the cam you will run out of fueling at anything over 600HP. But that is just based on my experience, YMMV.

Yes but did you use the ADM FCPM in conjunction with the ZL1 pump? Seems (just from reading here) that the FCPM is required to get any real benefit from the ZL1 pump.

I'm not wanting to run meth...just plain 92 octane here in WA.

that is incorrect. You can use the ADM FCPM or you can use the BAP. Both of them overdrive the pump with additional voltage. I'm not sure where the idea that the BAP does not work with the ZL1 pump came from but it really does not make any sense.

You need the FCPM to get the full benefit of the ZL1 pump. The bap will not give you the full benefit of the ZL1 pump. There is plenty of information on here if you look for it.

Or ask ADM they will tell you they make the FCPM.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but I would love to see some data to support this. Does it have something to do with the limitations of the existing FCPM? I am curious because I'm running just the BAP and ZL1 pump and I don't want to run lean due to ignorance.

upgrade the 60# injectors that come with the ECS kit? do they give you an option to go with bigger injectors (duty cycle)?

prdi 06-18-2014 02:46 PM

Yes you can upgrade the injectors to 80s if needed.. 60s will make the power you want no problems. your pump will be your weak link but you are upgrading to the zl1 pump. The 80s are a cheap upgrade if getting them with the ECS kit

How much crank HP would the 60lb/hr injectors be good for? What duty cycle estimate would you get at about ~775 crank hp?

The FAST injectors I linked from Amazon in this thread look good, but I wonder who really manufacturers them. I figure they are probably re-branded. If I could get 80s with the kit for a small price bump then I would just go that way.

Check out this thread all the way through. Someone logged in hptuners ZL1 + BAP vs. ZL1 + ADM FCPM and the results speak for themselves on it. I am with you I would figure you could just use a BAP in conjunction to get the benefit, but it appears that is incorrect. I would just get the FPCM from ADM. That is what I will do as well as 80+lb/hr injectors.
