Camaro Concept Spotted in Race Driver: GRID (X360)
 

Don't remember if this has been posted and a quick search didn't find anything.

I was looking for info on an upcoming game release called Race Driver: GRID from Codemasters and found this pic with the Concept Camaro and the Dodge Challenger featured in the game.

This was posted a few weeks ago. Glad to see the game is progressing. I'm gonna look into getting it.

wicked to see it in a game. but y is it getting beat by a challnager and a mustang:paddle: somone has som splanning to do

easy, the race is in reverse :P

no, no you gotta get it right the time you start the race is determined by your finishing time, so if your in the lead (lets say 10 sec.) you start 10 sec. later but if you lose like the Challenger and the Mustang you start first
so, thats why the camaro was behind

that or it's a circuit and the camaro has already lapped them

Okay! Ummm lets see....The Camaro starts off slow...because it feels like it.
Challenger and Mustang are WAY ahead. Then, the Challenger runs out of gas.:bellyroll: but the people on site ready to push it aren't close enough to help it win. Not to worry! The damn thing is so big, and low - it's truck-like momentum keeps it going for a little while longer.:thumbsup:

The Mustang is in the lead however, and it confidently races ahead ready to cross the finish line. Untill - like all Fords (j/k) it rusts into oblivion within seconds.

The Camaro passes the Challenger at 40mph...engine at ~6000rpms! Because the LSx can withstand days of non-stop near redlining without even breaking a sweat. It manages to get past the finish line...but in second place - because a piece of Mustang dust was blown across the line...and the Judges counted it.

See!! my story fits! That pic shows the Challenger gas-less trying to get to it's pushers, and the Mustang disintigrating as it hits the Challenger!:D :D

I just hope the camaro is in the new GranTurismo when it's released.

^I've heard that two concepts and two production version are ultimately going to be in it, although it might be as downloadable content. Nothing confirmed so far of what cars will be in it at release.

^ Yeah I've been searching for a list of cars for a while now. Obviously Nissan is the big contributor. I'm looking forward to it... I bought my PS3 for GTHD. I would be real dissapointed if the camaro wasn't in it.

I can't wait for my new camaro to come out happyanim::thumbup: :w00t:, but in the mean time at least I get to see the 5gen in upcoming games Race Driver Grid for the ps3. You will only see the 5gen for the first 50 seconds. Envoy the dream guys.

I feel so out of date with my ps2 :(

Hopefully it's going to be on the Xbox360, if not, I have two reason to get the PS3... Blu-ray movies and to drive my Camaro on a virtual road. :thumbsup:

it is unlockable, but it's the 2006 ls2 concept.

I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding your post, but you can unlock it with the correct code. I can't remember it at this time, but it is on several cheat sites. I don't really like this game because unlike the other NFSs, you can't really just cruise around the city and race or cruise. It's too structured of a game for me.

same here. I liked being able to cruise. the camaro is unlocked with this cheat code: unlockallthings

u guys are missing the point in the first picture.... the challenger got scared when he saw the camaro in his rear view so he moved out of the way to let the camaro through and then hit the Mustang.........that is what happend.......lol just like in real life

Our 5th Gen Camaro is now the feature of a new racing game called: Grid that comes out in June '08. Thought it was pretty cool!

The Game is "Race Driver / Grid"

It is supposed to be on the PS3 also.

I thought it was just called "Grid". Either way, it's on my list! I need my Camaro fix until next year! Graphics look wicked, hope we can get the stripe options. Think they'll have the "rope" option for the back? :bellyroll:

Hmm... I'm going to have to see if it's out for PS3 yet. NFS Pro Street is awful and I mostly obtained that game because of the Concept car.

The full version doesn't come out for another year, will you be able to download the Camaro with the Prologue version? Just curious.

I don't think so. I think one of the downers with prologue was minimal tracks and cars... I haven't played it yet. I think I read that in a Game Informer review of prologue.

Absolutely GranTurismo has the best graphics of any race game. There are a few HD trailers out there. If you like that stuff, you'll love this game. I've downloaded the demo for PS3 and it's awesome.

I bet you didnt know that some of those GT5 advertisements are actually stills and vid's from Forza 2! seriously. The newest videos do look great though. I sold my soul and bout a PS3 for the bluray. but I'll be gettin GT5 when that drops!
