Side Mirrors Question

I was wondering wether or not one of the side mirrors would go down when you put the car into reverse. I really like this feature and hope the Camaro has it. I can't really tell from the picture if the left/right buttons stay down, so does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

edit: sry pic did not come up but it is the 5th picture in this thread- http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7166

Dont understand go down? News to me if it does but I dont know what you mean lol

ShnOmac 10-03-2008 10:56 PM

Yeah im lost on this one 2?????? Got any examples?

ucla1ove3 10-03-2008 10:57 PM

yes you can angle them down manually by using the little power thing like the picture you showed, if you are talking about automatically them doing it when you back up then... wthell how come i have never seen this? on any car

Jak 10-03-2008 11:18 PM

Think I know what he means. If I understand right. Put it in reverse and the right side mirror automatically angles down so you don't scrub the curb. Never heard of it before, but suppose it'd be a interesting option.

ucla1ove3 10-03-2008 11:22 PM

yea that was what i thought too.. but i just don't see that being an easily or feasible option because of obvious things in regards to the angles.

headpunter 10-03-2008 11:22 PM

yeah that is a standard feature on chevy cars with electric mirrors

this will be included

also for the people who didnt know what it was , its so you can see the curb so you dont give your wheels curb rash.

I've seen it on a couple of different cars... It's actually kinda weird to me, but could see where it could come in handy.

shroomjohn 10-03-2008 11:23 PM

Seems pointless I set my mirrors up to see behind me call me crazy but I think thats what theyre used for so where would the go to make it any better lol. Sorry just confused and yes it doesnt take much.:D

ucla1ove3 10-03-2008 11:23 PM

well then bravo, lol thats a good feature.. i likey :)

SdustinK 10-03-2008 11:23 PM

Hey i know what your talking about my parents car has it i wouldn't think the car will have that cause only a few cars have that feature

Sierra 10-03-2008 11:24 PM

I have the feature on my sierra. Its useful, you can also shut it off if you dont want it or have both mirrors do it. I have it on the passenger side mirror

SimC33 10-04-2008 01:34 AM

The lexus, BMW, and mercedes models have them in their mirrors...I've never seen a Chevy car with them, but I hope headpunter is right about all Chevy model with electric mirrors have them...maybe its part of the parking assist option that you can get on the car

headpunter 10-04-2008 01:37 AM

my parents tahoe has it, but they hate it and i find it disorrientating so i dont use it either, but it is included in cars with electric mirrors, its so easy to set up from the cars computer that it doesnt really cost them anything to add it. it will be on this car no doubt
