brake calipers
im getting black 22's on my synergy green and was wondering whether to leave the brake calipers silver or paint them black red or green
|
if it were mine,i would do green.

really? i was thinking that but afraid it might be too much

I have a green Camaro and put black 22's and painted my calipers with G2 green, caliper paint and I'm not happy with it. First, the green that G2 sells doesn't match. It looks good from 50' away but a bystander next to you at a stop light looking at the side of your camaro will totally see a difference in the green shades. On top of it not matching the brake caliper paint is chipping and I following the instructions perfectly. I'm trying to see if I purchase a pint of the green synergy paint ($180.00) if I can just add G2's high heat liquid to it so it will work on the calipers. Don't paint if the green doesn't match.

How about black G2 caliper paint with green camaro caliper decals!
I did mine orange with black decals on an IOM however the caliper paint is not the color match. It compliments the car well but I'm not sure how far off the regular green is from the Synergy Green. You may certainly have to pay the $100 for the color match paint to look good. |

Green would probably be good if you could color match. Otherwise it's a tuff call.
If they are Brembos I've always thought red looks good no matter what the color (that could be an exception on the Green car). To me all the performance cars like Porche and Vette that have the Brembos colored from the factory are usually Red. Again....on Green??? that might be a funky contrast. |
