I have the 2014 SS/RS and assume the harness is optional?
My fogs come on when I push the button in the middle of light control switch. Never noticed them on during the day or night unless I select it. So getting the bulbs should be all I need..correct? Thx |

I received my 4300K bulbs from Apex today. They look amazing on my ZL1 and the light output matches the halo headlights exactly.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/17/hagaqahy.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/17/a2u3yhag.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/17/dete4yse.jpg

Quick question, none of my lights are on during the day. What am I missing with this DRL thing. I like the look of the led's here, but unclear what should actually be on during the daytime vs nighttime.
Would prefer the rgb angel eye setup, but waiting for a direct headlight/fog replacement without cutting open any housing for this. Thx |

When your car is in gear during the day the DRLs are on. At night when the headlights come on the DRLs turn off. The harness keeps the DRLs on at all times.[/QUOTE]
When you say DRL, you are referring to the Halo around the headlight I guess. My fogs never come on unless I hit the switch. I can shut off the Halo's during the day by flipping the switch, it just resets when the car is shutoff. Is this how earlier models also work? |

Where does the harness get installed?
Is there instructions anywhere on how to install? |

Step 1- Turn the wheels all the way to left to gain access to the screws on the passenger side fender well liner Step 2- Remove the 3 (T20) torx screws holding the fender liner to the bumper. ZL1 owners also remove the 3 screws under the bumper. This will allow you access to the forward lamp harness connector. Step 3- Locate the forward lamp harness and disconnect http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/r...3/Capture1.jpg http://www.gen5diy.com/image/data/In...s/DSC00070.JPG Step 4- Plug our harness inline http://www.gen5diy.com/image/data/In...s/DSC00073.JPG Step 5- Reconnect the other end of the harness to our harness. Step 6- Verify operation. With headlamps on your DRL's should also be on. Step 7- Reinstall fender liner screws. |
I'm in for the harness, especially after the very helpful install instructions. I already have DRLs from Oracle.
