Sooooo... where do I get one for my LS?
|
Right now it's a sleeper!!! so BEWARE!!! if it is v6 TT,it could have more power than expected! GM has been VERY successful with the camaro so far..I believe whatever trick they have up there sleeve will be another success, just wait!
|
I dunno - I have some pretty strong opinions about this design. I just don't see the benefit of GM and Leno working together. Call me narrow minded, but we really don't need a Leno Inspired Camaro. The GM Design is top-notch!
As many have stated already, these cosmetic frills they have allowed Leno to put his name on do not make me want a V6. Adding TT doesn't make me want a Leno Car. And just becasue he has his name on it doesn't make me want to go to an Auction 10 years from now and bid on a Leno Inspired TT Camaro from 2010. Not doing it for me, sorry jay - Love you GM, but you have more expertise in the Performance Division. Listen to the masses and bring it!!! As for a Z28 conspiracy, I'll stay away from this one... But I will say, GM would never allow Leno to put his name on the Legacy name as the Z28. I'm no history buff, but name one who was a custom one-off design from concept to production and carried the Z28 name? Come on, somebody make me look stupid - I'm good with it. Now as far as cosmetic appeal - I want that F%@$#*G Hood! I will pay a $1500 right now for that hood. But mine will be functional. Like I mentioned in the original thread for this subject. "Are those inlets functional?" ...mine will be. |

Any ideas on power numbers? or even geusses?
|
I can tell you the Z28 will not have a v6, maybe they will recreate the 302 but I assure you they will not put a v6 in it. My guess z28 will be powered by the Cadillac cts-v supercharged engine like previously speculated.
Ill keep my guns, freedom and money you can keep the change! |
no politics on this site, thank you.
|
Its not politics, its opinion, that's what these forums are all about the love of the Camaro and varying opinions.

So when can i buy one and for how much???:drool::thumbup:

I wont argue after this but just because I mentioned the president doesn't mean I'm talking politics. I understand the need to keep politics off this site and greatly respect that. I could have said look what change has done for the bills, (TO) that doesn't mean Im talking sports just referring to an individual and situation.
 |
If the Z28 is a twin turbo V6, I called it a long time ago when I argued that muscle cars are more than cylinders. I also said it was unlikely in large part because so many people who identify themselves as enthusiasts are not enthusiastic about a leaner muscle car in the body of a V8 with the efficiency of a V6. There's a style and a standard of performance associated with muscle cars, and a V6 has just as much right to bear the crown. If it can race with V8s, then who cares what's under the hood. Performance enthusiasts care a lot more about the performance numbers than the cylinder numbers. My only concern is cost. Given the reluctance of traditionalists to embrace a high-performance V6 from an American automaker in the body of a classic muscle car, a TTV6 simply can't be expected to cost more than a moderately loaded V8 and expect to make a profit.

It's a concept car... for that it is cool.
|
Did they use a V6 to keep the cost reasonable and better fuel economy?
