Dutch Bumblebee repro
Hello Fellow members.
Greetings from the netherlands. I bought a 2010 Camaro last year on Ebay from Levs auto in Brooklyn. I just sold my 1968 Ford Mustang Fatsback GT for a verry good price and always wanted a Generation 5 Camaro , ever since the first concept came out. With the money in my pocket i sent a mail to lev to ship thge car to me( i live in The Netherlands). 3 weeks later it arrived in the Netherlands and after passing customs i picked it up in the harbor of Rotterdam. The car was a salvage title car, but we have a verry good bodywork specialist, so that wasnt a problem for him. I directly desided to make it in to a Bumblebee replica( revenge of the fallen) as good as i can. Not only from the outside, But also from the inside. I own my own car upholstry company in The netherlands in Roosendaal so i started looking up pictures from the interiour of bumblebee and the 2006 concept. The seats, doors, dash parts and armrest are allready finishedand it lookes great as i say so myself ( will be posting pictures as soon as i can) The outside will be painted in the next 2 weeks after it has been straightend and fixed verry profesional.. I also have the bumper ports for it and new wheels from american racing . 20"Daytona's. Also the stripes will pe don in paint , no stick on for me. It is a LT( simple because the taxes here are so high that for the taxes only i can get a SS beside the LT). This is it for now, but i will post some pictures verry soon. Dave www.dgcustomleather.nl just to get an idea from what we do for your customers here in teh Netherlands. |

Here some with the body work.
The man who did this got all the dents out an worked with tin instead of just filling it up with bondo like they do at the normal bodyshops. it almost did'nt need any filler . I will also post some pictures from the car when i bought it so you can see the differents. |

Well alright, very cool. This is shaping up to be a very nice thread, as well as a very nice camaro. Looks great so far, keep the pics coming.
Welcome. |
Hey Dave,
You're going for what looks like my car LOL :) Could be mistaken (probably due to lighting that it looks so "pale") but are you using House of Kolor's Shimrin PCB-30 for the respray? If you need pics of mine, do let me know... |
Dave, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/a.../NewFridge.jpg oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |
Damn nice!

Thanks for the nice reply's
I just came back from my refinisher and it looks great. the insides are in color. the outside will be done with all the parts on the car so you dont get any different cloudy effects or color differents. inside and out in trunk under hood even more paint then original(look at the front fenders, grey instead of red...... :facepalm:chevrolet) Also some better pictures from the seats. |
