Shortening my npp exhaust so tips tuck more.
On my 13 ss I have the npp exhaust and I love it. However something I have noticed about the 13s is the tips usually stick out further than the later years. Maybe it's just me or maybe it's just my car but I'd like to tuck them in a little more flush.
My question is where would you cut. I'm pretty sure about and inch off the piping where it connects at my long tubes would suffice. But what I'm worried about running into is the hangers stopping it from sliding towards the front of the car the inch. Has anyone ran into this issue or have some Insight on exhaust hanger play on the npp |

Gah they're sideways

No, that will be a train wreck. You just need to take it to an exhaust shop and have them do it. They can do that right behind the tips.
|
So you think there's enough pipe to play with after the muffler that they can shorten it.

I know about 3 guys with 2013 1LEs and SS and none stick out that far

I'd have to be under your car to see what's what. Like Apex said, take it to an exhaust shop.

Bought the car brand new and they have always stuck out that far since I got it. I think I've seen one or two 13s on the sight that looked the same so I never questioned it.

Anyone have any pics of where their tips sit for reference. Mine do not have the Chevy logo on top. I know I saw a thread that said the logo should just be visible. I'm thinking they need to go in an inch and up maybe half an inch.

Thought I was going crazy, mine seem to stick out too. Brand new car too with 9 miles off the truck.

I google searched and found pics from flush to sticking out similar to mine. I guess it depends on the car. Like you said rod-ss every time in back there I think they stick out too far then I think nah I'm just crazy.
