Amazing how much you can tell from just the graph...

Seasons, economy, status of company, vehicle release...

Winter blahs setting in. Great time for a dealeo.

I wonder if the Mustang numbers include convertible. There should be a pop in these Camaro numbers come February.

snkeyes069 12-01-2010 04:20 PM

I did my part to help this november. ;)

TheBurninator 12-01-2010 04:59 PM

I did my part this November. I also got a good "dealeo" on it for it being the winter. =]

98_Camaro 12-01-2010 08:05 PM

Wow... Gotta love winter.

Orange Krate 12-01-2010 10:19 PM

Our car was built Nov 22 but waiting to take delivery any day. Sales are way off...maybe Santa will buy a few. He is buying me one for the December stats. It will be interesting to see how the sales develop with the actual flooring of convertibles and an official announcement of Z. Choices are gonna drive the bus. However, if the economy continues to stagnate and fuel prices increase, the 6 cylinders should trend higher.

khabboub 12-01-2010 10:46 PM

we are wining again?

Char1ieone 12-01-2010 11:04 PM

Just wait until the Convertible comes out and BAMN! numbers are back up. But I do love the "competition" with the Mustang and Camaro.

v6sonoma 12-01-2010 11:11 PM

Can't wait to see how the numbers look once those convertibles hit the ground next year. I'm pretty happy the camaro's holding it's own when Ford has a coupe, vert, and "super car" .

UHP-CAMARO 12-01-2010 11:16 PM

I did my part. Took him home on 13 November. He's a 2011, 2SS/RS, Hurst M6. Delivered to the dealer late on friday and in my hands the frist thing on Saturday morning.

This is my 3rd Camaro. I liked my 1992 and 2002 B4C Camaro's but I am very impressed with my new 2011 Camaro. I love this Camaro the best.

Let me also share that if the state (Michigan) gives it's employees another pay cut i could be in the "losing my Camaro soon" group :(

Kermit1 12-02-2010 07:54 AM

Is there any break down on color i.e. most ordered to least?

b4z 12-02-2010 08:50 AM

Mustang and Chally are trending up.
Camaro is trending down.
I'm assuming the convertible and Z will help.
The new interior will help also-can't do anything about the poor visibility.
Would like the car to have a more "modern" refined feel as it goes down the road.
Chevy didn't raise the bar with this car like they could have.

There are only 33,347 in database now. Last time I break down it was 20,000 cars there, so no meaning to do it now again because you will get almost the same result.

Not really, if you look at the same time last year on the chart, the mustang was in the same downfall as it was last year. In fact theyre almost identical, the only reason for the spike in around April was cause of the combination of the updated model year and 5.0 release. Yes the Camaro is dropping but one it is the Christmas season and two because people are holding out for the convertible and Synergy Series aka Chromna 2009 SEMA Concept(which may only include of a small fraction) which will be available in February. Plus the wait of the Z28 and then the possibility of the convertible for that a year down the line maybe, so there is still a lot going for the Camaro in the next year or two that should keep sales steady. Mustang IMO is the one that should be a little worried because other than the Boss, what else do they have coming in and I'm not saying that in a smart-ass remark? They just released a new option and an updated model design and they're in the same place they were at last year, not really a positive sign. I am happy for the Challenger though as they're numbers are steadily increasing each month. Give it two more months and maybe the Challenger will outsell both the Camaro and Mustang for one month. Great job Dodge, keep it up! Let's see what happens when the new Charger is released.

Edge.128 12-02-2010 12:03 PM

well its good they are still selling and in large numbers. at least the interest is still there just its xmas time and people are spending money elsewhere and until some good deals come along it will be about the same for a while.

Agree with the trends, but you have to dig a little deeper. 2009 had the bump for Camaros due to the order back log and overall newness. Chally was lower in 2009 due to their lack of inventory driven by the plant shut downs from their bankruptcy. Ford is up due to the 5.0 and new V6 engines, but not really dramatically up.

And on the needs to be more modern refined feel and chevy didn't raise the bar enough...I'll pass on feeding the troll.

All things considered, the numbers look pretty good. The camaro is still going strong, and nearly 2 years into it, with fewer model options, its keeping pace with the mustang. The vert should help pucsh it back ahead.

Char1ieone 12-02-2010 03:07 PM

I think maybe we should try to find the sale figures when the 5th gen mustang came out and make the comparisons between the debts of both cars. Though I would my money the camaro will still be lower cause of the economy fiasco that occurred.

starbase 12-02-2010 03:56 PM

What ever happened to the Camaro stats that came out semi-regularly of sales by color, model, and engine? The last I saw was from Sep-6-2010.
