Interior Trim!?

I want to remove my cloth interior dash trim and replace it with RED trim. For the last 30 minutes I have been trying to find RED or VICTORY RED trim but all I can find is inferno orange! What the heck?! Someone help me out here.

Just take the cloth off and paint yourself.

The cloth can come off? How would I go about doing that? Is there a DIY forum I could read on this?

Check out my V6 photo album in my profile, I had something custom done at the dealership and it was amazing. Its the one thing I miss when I upgraded to the V8. Anyway you can ask your dealer about it if you can't find something in the classifieds.

Make you own in probably an hr and less than $15

They pop right out. Simply rip off the cloth, get some red vinyl. Cut it slightly larger than the trim and wrap it over and glue or staple it on the backside just like the cloth and put back on.

Trust me. I went the $600 route and got custom two tone leather dash trim and door panels. Giant waste of money :)

I didn't have cloth ones in my LS, so I bought some cloth ones here on the classifieds, peeled the cloth off, used a pressure washer to clean off the glue, sanded and painted and clearcoated them my self.

I had cloth ones on mine, i just ripped off the cloth, goo-goned the left over glue, cleaned it, painted it black, then had it vinyled.

Take the cloth off and paint it. It's actually pretty simple. Just need some screws when you cut the plastic tabs off. PM me if you'd like some more info.

just did mine. Stock cloth covered trim pieces. Took the cloth off, sanded smoth. Primed, sanded, painted, cleared and wet sanded with 2000 grit sandpaper. Buffed with 3m scratch remover and installed.

Starting to think maybe I should just rip off the cloth and put red vinyl over it. If I did do this what type of vinyl should I get and where?

Forcer 05-20-2013 10:23 PM

Oracle is one of the best vinyls. It holds up well. (my hash marks are oracle)
