WHAT SHOULD THE DEALER GIVE ME
 

Hi I am new to Camaro5 and ordered a 2SS back in mid November. The
dealer took my deposit and I got a receipt but I have no other info
regarding the order. Just wondering what I should ask the dealer for
and can I track the progress of my car and by the way I am from canada
any advice would be helpfull.

Ask for an Order Workbench number, mine was NJRMGD, uours would be similar. Congrats and good luck!

You should have been given a copy of your order along w/ current pricing. Other than that, that is about it.

Once the dealer submits the order, and it is accepted by GM, it goes in preliminary status, and will be assigned an "Order Number", which by the way is all letters. You need this order number to track your Camaro. Get it from your dealer.

There can be numbers in it, it is not always just letters.

And seeing you ordered in November if your dealer doesn't have an order number for you, find another dealer.

About how long should it take the dealer to get this number for me

I got mine the day I placed my order, while still at the showroom.

Ask your dealer for an event code, your car may already be built, or close to it.

When your order is placed you should recieve a six digit order code. By the time you were to leave from the dealer when you placed your order you should of had that code.

My dealer didn't give me any code, Should I have asked for it or should he just have given it to me. All I got was the receipt for the deposit and the selling price I will call the dealer and ask for this information

Just an FYI orders placed in November have been built and ready to ship to some people in Ontario. Assuming your dealer had allocation your might be right around the corner or a couple weeks away.

Call your dealer and get the workbench number. If possible get a printout as well. It's a one page report that has all your order details (options, model, etc), should have your name as well and most importantly the event code (that 4 digit number of destiny everyone lusts over).

Also once you have the workbench number you can call 1-800-GMDrive and find out the status of your order independent of your dealer (camarotracking.com doesn't work for Canadian orders until you have the VIN #, then it does). Use this number if your dealer gives you a hard time or you don't want to bother them.
