A - Pillar
There has been a bunch of talk about the C-Pillar and the
big blind spots. I would like to hear some comments about the front A-Pillar along with the long sloping window. How is the view thru / around the A-Pillar especially while turning left |
I havn't noticed any problem in all. In fact, the most difficult thing for me is the low roofline at the windshield. I sometimes have to lean forward to see the traffic light. Other than that, I'm very happy with the visibility. I just try to stay more alert to where other cars are.
Also, its a little tough to see where curbs are when you're making a tight turn. But in the end, the benefits outway the drawbacks  |
I was curious about that also, some of the pics I saw it looked kind of wide from the inside.

Not really different than any other car, haven't noticed it at all.

Seems similiar to a lot of the newer cars. It didn't bother me, as much as the low rearview mirror did.
My wife actually had a pedestrian walk into the front fender of our SRX because the apillar blocked her vision in a left turn. I would say that the apillars are similiar in size. |
I notice the A pillar in my G35 sometimes, but I don't recall noticing it in the Camaro I drove. For that matter, I could be wrong but I don't think that the 2010 windshield is quite as big or raked as my 4th gens. At the very least, it didn't seem like it was to me.
