LA Car washes

For people without actual driveways to wash their cars in, where do you take your Camaros? Don't feel like trekking to Pasadena Car Wash or paying $25 for a hand wash... No machine wash places.

mobile car wash. They come to you. And usually charge around 20 for hand wash

I wash my own at my apartment complex. I just provide my own hose. Or I got to my pop's house.

There are car washes where you wash the cars yourself. They provide the water and soap for dolla bills...there are a ton over here in my area!

Yah, those are all over the place. I wondered if they strip the wax off the paint. I guess I'll just do that.

gotp, you got more pics of your car??

I think they are better then the drive through car washes. However, having a black car I am very picky. I would make sure they use the right soap and towels to dry. 100% cotton or microfiber. In addition, do not use the same towel for the body as you do for the wheels. :headbang:

Just my $0.05. Due to inflation, $0.02 has gone up to $0.05.:D

Anyone have a recommendation for a place in the Chatsworth area? I am coming down for the Hurst car show and I want to get my car washed when I get there.

No one touches my car but my detailer. My car is also black by the way. He uses a different Micro Fiber towel for everything.

There's a good handwash on Ventura, but it's closer to Topanga. Can't remember the name of the exact cross-street... :mad0259:

been thinking about this since i bought my Camaro. Where is you detailer located? use clay bar? right soap. dawn all the liquid dish soaps are not good for the car takes the wax right off. read that shampoo is the best baby shampoo is the mildest. if you have hard water use a little fabric softner and on final wipe down after waxing use the McGuire's spider web remover gives the car a mirror finish. Carnuba is the best does your detailer use this kind of wax?
