I am all about custom packages from gm but that is a lot of money for what your getting.

I could see a lot more items for less money and make it nicer.

The special run of gauges and interior seating is a definite new cost. The body pieces aren't new but they have a price as well. On top of that is the hurst shifter and Chevrolet licensed pedders kit. All along with a limited run of 500 and the additional 5 grand for the package is completely understandable.

The person that orders this car and still has it in great condition 20years from now, sells it at auction for the premium will thank himself for saying why not.

I would feel bad for the poor bastard that buys one of these for 2ss price plus 10k,

for the following reason 2ss msrp avg 37,000$ plus 10 for sticker synergy package =

47,000$ !!!

WHY NOT GET THE ZL1 ?? I mean I think everyone sees the ZL1 coming in 50-55k.

fools and their money ~

I think when you walk up to your car and open the door with these super special led lights...they magically install themselves and give you a butt massage afterwards. :sm0:

And btw, I love the car pictured. I'd buy one if I could afford it. It's Hott for sure!

I like the duck tail spoiler, I'd like to see that on the Z28 if and when it comes out. The 21" wheels are horrible... useless for performance and they don't look that great. Loving some of the unique interior pieces like the shifter...

+1

And my car didn't come with cup holders... just came with 2 round cell phone holders, also holds mints well. Or an Ipod. But yeah drinks don't go there.

I Love this package. If it had the 2012 interior upgrades (second power seat) I would be all over it. That car is just georgeous.

OldJedi 05-09-2011 10:28 AM

I am just not really sure why they would offer the package and start production a month before 2011 production ends and six weeks before 2012 production starts.

At this point, how can you not wait for the passenger seat height adjuster in the 2012? I am.

I want to thank Becky for providing this information.

For those who are trashing the thread, it's really not fair to do it here. Start your own thread and do it there.

Forum dealers do this for pleasure AND to do business. They pay for that right.

You're entitled to your opinion but forum rules say it's a no-no in someone else's thread.

Again, thanks Becky!

Well, GM did promise a limited edition Camaro every 6 months and its just 500 of them. Just testing the waters perhaps to see how quickly they can get rid of 500 limited edition Camaro's maybe. How much could it really be costing them for a paint and sticker package anyway and some of the interior upgrades might be a live feedback experiment. I personally like the interior compared to what comes standard now. You also have to keep in mind that the yearly sales slump is coming up here in a month or so for the Camaro due to the model year change over, I know 500 units isn't going to keep the product afloat but at least its something. There obviously will be the "mid model year" limited edition around January or February (2012 ZL1) and then the "end of the model year" limited edition around May or June. It ensures there are no dead spots in the model year and sales remain as steady as they can. No need to release a limited edition at the beginning of the model year because new options and model changes will create excitement itself. This is the perfect time to release a limited or special edition Camaro...
