Not for the faint of heart

Pulled into a wrong parking lot, I then pulled into a spot to make a uturn to get back out of the lot and as I was backing out, I heard a terrible noise. Knew exactly what happened. I honestly never pull too close to these things but this time, I don't know how I did. You live and you learn. Anybody selling a bumper cover?

I wonder if its salvagable. The bumper is not bent, cracked, or warped. Just all tabs and mounting holes are broken or stretched

JLSuperfly 12-22-2015 06:05 PM

Ouch. You can charge it to experience.

My guess is that you'll need a new cover for sure. There is plenty of damage under that cover that you can't see yet. Have you had the bumper off yet?

OUCH

I'm still getting used to being careful about that. My last one didn't have ground effects so it was never an issue. Now i have to keep my spidy-sense on guard every time I park or go over a speed bump.

OP pulled over the parking curb and when he backed up, it caught the iron rod slightly sticking out curbing.

Could happen to anyone...ur pain a reminder to all of us to be more careful and think.

I actually have a friend who is in law school and had this happen to his camaro as well. File a claim with the city they will cover the cost. Rather they SHOULD cover the cost. That is if it's sticking out further than its supposed to.

O man that sucks, when I got mine in 2010 I had problems getting a feel where the front was and put a little scratch in the front fascia under neat. Can't see it but it still bothers me and to see yours like that man, it hurts.

I misread what you had typed before. I doubt there is much structural damage up the rebar just tore it off. The cover is going to be tough still though. It stretched it out in all the wrong places.

That's amazing it did that much damage. I had to look at the picture a few times until I realized it was from the park thing.
